Oh shit now you did it. The AJax fan club will be coming for you any minute now.
Oops - meant to say resign AJAX if possible

That probably means we just have enough to get a decent WR and decent CB in FA - not top 10

But I would still draft an OT as well

I would sign a FA ILB since they are usually not too expensive

and a FA WR (probably not Higgins - too expensive) and a #1 CB.

Then go OT or TE in the first round - maybe even trade down and get an OT and TE in the second round if any are still there.

Then get best RB in the third round and from there - best depth at all positions (with at least two OL - trade downs in the 3rd 4th and 6th possibly)
I like Warren/PSU TE in R1 if available. If not maybe best WR that fits Rams need that’s available.
Which FA ILB interests you?

I thought with kupp getting near the end maybe a WR.

But looking at mocks - WR will be too picked over by the time we draft.

Most mocks have us taking OL or CB

Best possible first round pick would be Warren falling to us at 26. I doubt that happens of course. Or Fannin, who would be an absolute beast in McVay's system in the slot. Those two I am certain are day one high end impact players in our offense.

Gonna have to look deeper at the rest of the TEs. Loveland reminds me of Gesicki which bothers me. I like how I imagine McVay using him, but I think to kick ass in his scheme you have to be able to dominate the middle of the field and I don't know he can do that. But admittedly it's not like I've watched a ton of Michigan. Just a few games here and there.

What I'm tired of though is the Rams taking shots on the guys who are development types. This team has never had a true stud TE, unless we count Kupp who basically is a pass catching TE in some ways under McVay. But damn it would be nice to get a guy we know will come in week one and add some shit.

I'm tempted to say Kenneth Grant falling to us :D

The number 1 concern is a LT but Jackson posted the below that suggests he wants to come back so that’s good news. So after that my next must need is a stud CB. Spoon is adequate but a free agent and I wouldn’t call him a stud. Would like to bring him back and still draft the best blue chip we can. You can never have enough CBs.

We are a bit short on picks this year and have historically traded down. Snead is on record saying you generally just want as many picks in the top 100 as possible. Unless someone starts to fall that they are really targeting, I am expecting a trade down.

And if we appear to be in competition for another Super Bowl next year, I would not be surprised to see some in-season trades of future draft picks to bring in proven players. I think this front office wants to have at least 1 more run with as loaded a roster as possible with Stafford.

And I will add this guy again. If you could trade back a few spots, get an extra 3rd and draft Jihad Campbell and then draft the two guys above in the 3rd, I would be happy. Beef up the front 7 to deal with guys like Barkley, and add the future RT. Still would have a 3rd from the trade down to get RB or WR.

EDIT: Just saw Kiper has him going top 20 in his latest mock.

Really depends on what happens with Stafford, Kupp, and Havenstein/A-Jax. You're going to have to ask me later in the process when we know where we stand with them.

Traditionally you would think Snead would move back from 26 and get another top 100 pick.
But they have seen what a 1st round stud can do and impact the team/season in Verse. Which makes me wonder that they may stay at 26 to get that top, prior type of talent. Maybe even try to move up for the right guy (like bowers last year)

I still cannot believe we got the best pass rusher in the draft at 19th overall... hell, the best pass rusher in the past 2 drafts... he's better than Will Anderson IMO.

We need that beef up front to finish this DL. They can get it later but I'd be fine with Grant in the first round.
Currently a big fan of Stackhouse but a few other guys in that range would be great too in Alfred Collins and Tonka Hemingway. But yeah Grant is special.
