Having Georgia as our owner for way too many years....or

Watching the Patriots cheat and win for way too many years

The Cheatriots. Having to endure the last 20 years of hearing about their dynasty knowing that it was created by destroying our chance for a Rams dynasty.

The sting of SB 36 wouldn't have lingered as long as it did if the Rams had not taken a header off the cliff shortly after it happened. If the Rams had remained contenders and made more playoff runs it would've given us something else to root for instead of the Pats demise every year.

Watching this team devolve into the biggest laughingstock in the NFL and our season being over by November was worse. And that was Georgia's baby, so definitely her reign of error.

Kroenke was somewhat responsible. He allowed Chip to swing in the winds in hopes of getting the best deal.

Nothing can be worse than that woman.

It's so bad for me... I can't even refer to her by her name. It helps me just to call her that woman. You have to add in some true disgust in your voice when you use "that woman" verbally.

It's somewhat therapeutic for me... try it for yourself.

The Patriot run was a tad more difficult for me because of living in Upstate, NY (Albany) which is only a couple of hours away from Foxborough and I'm in Massachusetts quite often for business & pleasure so it has not been easy and add in the Red Sox fans being a Dodger fan and I've taken in the chin a few times, however, I'm a big guy and can take it, but sure would have loved to dish it out a bit.

As to Georgia Frontiere sorry @Selassie I the late great Carroll Rosenbloom left the team to Georgia because of the Inheritance Tax. Back then, if you left money/property to your spouse, there was not tax because the government felt you earned it together, even though CR found her in Vegas when Georgia was a show girl and that is the truth and the movie Major League made reference to it somewhat.

Carroll Rosenbloom's plan was for his son Steve (Georgia's stepson) to run the team, however, John Shaw got in Georgia's ear and convinced her to not to stay in the background and run the team herself and she fired Steve Rosenbloom who did go on to run the New Orleans for several years with no success so let's keep that in mind.

John Shaw was Georgia's confident and he advised her to continue to keep the team because of the Growth of the NFL and the team was Georgia's only income. Most of the time, Georgia made a mess of things and not paying the players was the biggest issue I had with her because the Rams before the move to St. Louis, were a nickle and dime organization that was penny wise and dollar foolish.

Shaw was behind the move to St. Louis and that's because Shaw was part of the expansion committee and he was privy to the money that all five cities had to pony up to get an NFL franchise, Charlotte, St. Louis, Jacksonville, Baltimore & Memphis. Shaw wanted the Rams to move to Baltimore because he thought the fan base was more passionate and the people of Los Angeles had too many other things to do because Shaw never understood winning.

Now I've been a tad verbose, but in the end, it was tough having Georgia as an owner because of St. Louis and the money they gave her, she was then committed financially to the team and did spend and as Ram fans we should never forget that about the Gateway City. There were times she made good decisions, hiring John Robinson in 1983 over Daryl Rodgers who new GM Ray Nagel wanted to hire, although Georgia went with old Chuck Knox in 1991 over Mike Holmgren who John Shaw actually suggested. Also it was Georgia who instructed her son Chip on her deathbed to give Scott Linehan one more year.

So in the overall broad scheme of things enduring her reign was not easy and that's why I'm so thankful of the money that Stan Kroenke because when the San Francisco 49ers had free spending Eddie DeBartolo the Rams had tight fisted Georgia Frontiere with her henchmen John "twoface" Shaw and Jay "backstabbing" Zygmunt and it's always darkest before it gets black.

Good information even though it reads like a horror movie for me... a True Story horror movie at that.

You left out the part about Carroll Rosenbloom (an Olympic quality swimmer) "MYSTERIOUSLY" drowning on a beach in Miami. And let me just say... unless there's some real weather rolling in, the breaks on the beaches down there are next to nothing... it's almost like the Gulf of Mexico as far as the waves.

I know I'm jaded... but I will never believe that he just drowned on his own that day. NEVERRRRER!!!

So I'm adding this nugget to your good history lesson. I don't think it should ever be left out.

Yeah, I'm not going there, they did a movie like that where guys in scuba gear waited in a boat and then swam to pull a guy under and drown him and then swim back to the boat and got away with it as the cause of death was drowning. I was younger when CR passed 12 in April of 79 and I have never been much on conspiracy theories even though I've been to the Texas School Book Depository several times, but I always wondered what would have come of the Rams if Steve Rosenbloom ran them? Keep in mind, he was an epic fail in New Orleans as VP/GM so we have to factor that in, but it always seemed that I rooted for the Rams in spite of Georgia and John Shaw too because I truly believe no Shaw and Georgia never seizes power IMO.

Front-and-Rearie is my go-to name for that murderer.

Weird question.

Sort of like asking Bills fans what's worse, losing four SB's or watching NE win so many.

True, but watching your team is far worse then watching another team win. I have always stated, if I knew a ahead of time my team was going to lose the Super Bowl, I would rather not go, but in order win, you have to be in it and I still remember those great Ram teams of the 70's that never got there under Chuck Knox.

The “showgirl” always works for me.

Patriots.

It's not only that they cheated, it's that they would do bullshit things with the rules. They're like the little snot nosed shithead kid that get as close to you as possible and go "Not touching you, not touching you, not touching you!" and while they're right, it's still damn annoying. That's shit the Patriots do.

So having the Titans beat them in a game where they wasted 2 minutes without running a play, taking a page directly from the Patriots playbook felt good.

Fuck those guys, and fuck the NFL for appeasing them for decades. I hope that eventually everything comes out and they have a big fat asterisk next to their "dynasty".
