As do half of your your pigs. :laugh1: They're cute when piglets, but man they grow out of that quickly.

Good idea even if Tunsil is now off the table.

They need an anchor or two on the offensive line. Draft, trade, or FA whatever it takes.
Yeah, knowing Houston's history I did not think they were smart enough to lock him up for several years. Whatever the case, if we want to be a legit contender we need to upgrade the left tackle position. Noteboom is a JAG in my opinion. I'd rather see Jackson as the starter. But I get it. They gave Noteboom a 3 year deal. They don't wanna waste it by making him a backup.

I thought Noteboom would be ready to step in and be solid enough to do the job. I guess the Rams and I were wrong.

Noteboom just a JAG? So Whitworth and Havenstein don't know what they see in Joe and are completely wrong about him? No offense but I will accept their evaluation of Noteboom as well as what I've seen of him when healthy. Joe is a franchise LT. The question is will they continue to start turnstile Havenstein over Jackson at RT? They are playing Havenstein because he's over paid not because he's better.

IMO all this cap clearing is all about Stafford and how they need to clear cap in case he can't play beyond this year. If not they will have to handle both Donald's $19M and Stafford's $36M dead cap. I think our tip off will come in June. If they don't try to layoff some of the dead cap as post June 1 and are going to eat the entire $50M dead cap this year then that is the scenario they are prepping for IMO. If that is indeed the case they are done this year except for the draft. No other FAs and it sure seems that way.

But then in 2024 Burrows, Goff and Herbert will be in contract years, do the Rams try to trade for one of them extending them when they do? If Burrows and Herbert don't get to the Super Bowl this year do they get frustrated enough to ask for a trade? The reason I added Goff into the equation is because if either Burrows or Herbert ask for a trade, Goff would be a natural target for both those teams. Or with the draft capital Snead would have does he move up to the number one spot for the QB of McVay's choice? With the moves Snead is making and perhaps isn't going to make in 2023 does that set the stage for a new QB1 in 2024?

So many times I see the talking heads list of BPA and the teams go completely different direction.
I get BPA. Need also factors in, as it should. I'm not talking of the first 16 picks in the draft. 32 teams; 32 different teams of scouts; 32 different big boards. They all may be pretty close over the first two dozen prospects and then I'd bet they differ a lot from there on out. So the Bengals might go a completely different direction than the Chiefs board or Kipers or McShay's. And throw in an ever so slight and increasing lean towards need as the draft progresses and that's why fans say, "boy they should have taken _________, that guy isn't the right pick".

We fans don't all agree on the order of need between each other, let alone what the Rams perceive as their biggest need. Some fans say Edge is #1. Some say OL (either C or LT). Some say CB. Some TE or RB.

I read an interesting viewpoint this morning. The Rams don't seem to be too good at drafting (scouting) the offensive skill positions. Henderson, Akers, Jefferson, Atwell and not a stud in the bunch. All early picks. Depending on your opinion of course, some might say OL. Noteboom, Evans and Bruss, all 3rd round picks, 2 our first pick in that respective draft. One couldn't play, one has been injured, the other was injured his rookie year and didn't take a snap.

In the 2nd, 3rd and 4th round they have taken some good defenders. Johnson, Ebukam, Rapp (despite the hate he got), Gaines, Ernest Jones and Durant, who looks like he might be the real deal. They've got some late round hits in Fuller and Scott.

So which way to go in the 2nd and 3rd this year?
