Really enjoyed that.
I forgot about no names being on the jerseys still in '67.
I haven't heard those great names like Clancy Williams, Eddie Meador, Tommy Mason, Billy Truax, Bernie Casey, Maxie Baugh, Lamar Lundy, the Deacon, Merlin, Gabriel and Snow called out in decades.
And there's that old clock I remember seeing when going to a game or five at the Coliseum during the mid to late 60's.
The atmosphere even smelled more like a football game then, with the fragrance of cigars and booze permeating the air.
Great fun .

Umm, I think you just said the same thing, haha.

Also, from what I understand, the shift to blue and yellow was in large part due to the introduction of color TV's, for the exact same reason. They popped.....and they certainly hooked me as a kiddo.
Funny that you post that. Because the first time I saw the new uniforms in 73 was against Miami in preseason watching the game in my bedroom on my Sears B&W and they didn’t pop. But then when I saw them on our color TV on Monday Night highlights against the Chiefs I was hooked too and I had not seen their home blue yet.

I was watching the Miami game on a color set. Then, when they played the home opener against Atlanta, I saw that (living in Georgia, it was on in the market) and had my introduction to the blue jerseys.
The first time I 'saw' them was when I was with my family in a seafood restaurant (T's on HWY 56) and there was a B&W photo in the sports section of the Augusta Herald (or Chronicle?) depicting action between the RAMS and Dallas in the preseason game and, at the time, not knowing new unis were coming, wondered why the trousers looked darker than the jersey. Weird that I would observe that but, when it comes to the RAMS, I'm somewhat obsessive.

Isn't that somewhat the same thing? Here is what I love about fashion, you can look regal in the classics, you do not even need dynamic colors, classic black & white can transform you just like tomato red or royal purple of today. I feel the same way about uniforms, if done right, the classics can still look majestic and I am glad the Rams went back to the future.
I know, and I get everyone's excitement/disappointment. I'm just messing around with all y'all with that comment. :D

I think the new additions are fun.. I like both better than the Rivals set.

The "Fearsome" is a great tribute and a really clean look. I think.. with the Rams talent.. there needs to be a "Fearsome Front" poster with the entire rotation in it... once Donald is back ;)
