Now that's funny.
I used to work on the Universal Lot, I also live nearby. George Barris' Custom auto creations wasn't far either and had displayed many of their vehicles in the front of the shop.

I agree with everything except a waist of time. I mean come on. Isn't that what the rest of the season would be without a real QB. Mayfield was pretty good then got hurt and played hurt. looked bad. acted bad. traded to a really bad team. Say what you will but he is a major upgrade to the arm talent we have now. I hope. Still, not a waist of time to try out a former number 1 if it works or doesn't.
I don't find it a waste of time personally, just some would argue he is.

Hell I say throw shit to the wall and see what sticks!

Haven’t watched the Raiders this year. Why aren’t they tearing up the AFC?

Interesting situation here. If Mayfield plays the final 4 games and stinks it up, then its likely he won't be back next year. And maybe no one is interested in him as a free agent. Which means no comp pick for us.

Then again, if he plays well, the offense looks good with him, then he becomes more desirable in free agency and maybe too expensive to bring him back as the QB2. But we'd get a comp pick if someone signs him.

So there is a lot of incentive for both Mayfield and the Rams for him the play well down the stretch. He could revive his career. We either have a capable backup if we're willing to pay or a comp pick. Its too bad for him, and us, they won't have Cooper Kupp to help with that.

In a nightmare season this was a great move by McSnead. When we picked him up I was okay with it, I knew he was a lot better than Wolf and Perkins. But to play like this after 2 days, little time to learn plays and sync with receivers... this is legendary stuff here.

Hey Mods, ... Can we eliminate the "Baker Mayfield Released" part of the title to this thread, it's going to give me nightmares that Snead might press the wrong button and waive him.

As the old saying goes, we're only as good as our backup QB. And given Baker's performance against the Raiders, I think we can put this thread to sleep.
