It's actually normal and expected when a player talks down his past team. It's the same reason some teenagers do it right before leaving their parents' home for greener pastures. It makes it easier for them to leave that way. I think JL loved the Rams and was a little hurt he got traded. I really enjoyed watching JL play, though! I thought he was a pretty good team leader, and did the best he could with the hand he was dealt. I wish him the best with the Saints! So, all that BS aside, I can't wait till the Rams get their butts down to Aints'ville and tear them the ef up!! Go Rams!

7 to 9 yards past the line of scrimmage was an acceptable place to make a tackle.

Wow, you guys make it sound like he was the head coach, GM, and owner of the Rams. I have been frustrated with the Rams since Fisher took over, I can't imagine how frustrating it was playing defense and having that pathetic offense for 3 years and the same play calling that did not work going on year after year. Face the music, the Rams offense has been horrendous the last four years and first three years it wasn't even Pro caliber. At least last year it started to resemble a pro style offense and hopefully it gets much better.

Crazy how the media can add a spin onto two sentences and get a ton of people to buy into what they said instead of him.

All he said was it is refreshing to be on a team working back to be somewhere they've been before rather than trying to top the mountain for the first time. There hasn't been a single person on the Rams roster over the past NUMBER of years that have seen a winning season let alone the playoffs. The Saints on the other hand have been contenders in the near past (for better or for worse).

He suggests its nice to work to reconquer land rather than explore it and people interpret it as him saying he was ok not pushing the threshold....

Easy Gentlemen, easy... Laurinaitis played very hard and gave the Rams several good years and now both have moved on. Granted one should learn to keep comments to yourself, but in today's day and age, it's very rare anyone does that.

Social media, friends show you all the great trips they have gone on, some my God even post their business trips (that I don't understand). People changing their status all the time and Laurinaitis just trying to fit in with his new team by taking a shot of the team that let him go, many would do the same.

Sunday, November 27th will be the battle of New Orleans and all will enjoy Laurinaitis dining on some Cajun Crow.

Thanks for making it easier to move on from you. 7-9 is NOT acceptable here, James. That's why you're now with the Aints.

Lol, thats what I was thinking. They proved 7-9 was not acceptable by upgrading this position.

If he thought that, then he should have been loyal to his teammates to shut the hell up and not throw them under the bus. He and Long used to pizz me off by blowing sunshine out of his azz before every 7-9 season. HE wasa joke last year, and now he is pandering to the Saints fan base, like he did in St Louis. I hope to God that Gurley embarrasses that piece of shyte.

Akeem Ayers disagrees

I agree with your post though.

Why is it that every innocuous comment a player makes about his new team is perceived as some sort of slap in the face to his former team?
These guys are just saying good things about their new team. It's not always an insult.
