Note, please don't make it about the bigger issue. This is more hoping that butthurt lockerroom full of egos fueled by Asshole Face falls flat on their goddamn face.

Basically, fuck the aints.

It is so weird now that news stories can be made just out of tweets. Sometimes half the damn article is just reposting what someone else said. Brees should have known it was going to go this way.

Curious. For those who hate the flag, why stay? Mexico? Canada? Europe? Why stay and hate when you can be happy elsewhere?

and there you go. the reason that form of protest doesn't work encapsulated in one short post.

you'd think the players would have learnt their lesson from krapondick's botched attempt at social justice.

don't make it about the flag, you're playing right into the hands of the people you despise. nobody will focus on the issue at hand, which is the killing of black men by police with no scruples.

i guess i'm expecting too much from players. we all know what to expect from the media.

.

lets hope it eats the Saints up from the inside. I heard Derek Carr's Oline let him get creamed the sunday after the Raiders had a team meeting about Kapernuckle and Carr's opinion didn't sit well.

Maybe- but good for him. He said what he believed, which is not allowed now. What- they won’t block for him, drop his passes, fumble his handoffs?
He stated his opinion OMG!
Get a rope.

Sometimes, it's best not to shoot from the hip. It exposed that Brees needs to go talk to some of his teammates and really listen to what they have to say. I don't applaud people for simply having an opinion. Anybody can have an opinion. When you're a leader, you need to do more than just have an opinion. You need to have an informed opinion.

Fuck that. The whiners will whine no matter what. Any effective protest is going to upset the whiners. They whined about nonviolent protests during the Civil Rights Movement. They whined during Kaepernick's peaceful protest. They're whining now at both the peaceful protests and the violent ones. There is no winning with those people. They're going to whine about the method of the protest because they don't want to discuss the actual issue. Do what you need to do to bring light to the issue and be willing to suffer the consequences. Kaepernick has been vindicated, even if I don't agree with everything the guy says and does.

Nobody knelt in protest because they hated the flag, the military or the country. The players that knelt did so to call attention to the injustices that people of color experience when dealing with our country’s law enforcement Our flag represents freedom of speech. The peaceful demonstrations before the games are just Americans exercising that right. They should be allowed to do so without repercussions if they choose to just like Drew Brees can stand for the Anthem. America was built by people with diverse opinions coming together to create a union. This isn’t about Love or Leave but rather Love it and Change it. The goal of Americans should be to continue to improve the American Experience and to do so you must listen to everyone whether you agree with their message or not.

I love the values of this country, not a piece of cloth. The point of the flag is what it symbolizes. When you care more about the piece of cloth than the actual values it symbolizes, you've lost your way. I'll leave it at that.

Well Malcom Jenkins could've handled it differently, privately. He publicly fucked and divided locker room.

Please let them get absolutely fucked over this.

There's nothing about the aints fucking themselves in this post. This is what this thread is about.

You are right in a way...But my Grandpa was climbing of the steaming hot sands of Iwo Jima in WW2, and I can tell you that "piece of cloth" helped guys survive a hell on earth that few of us can imagine. "That piece of cloth" wasn't just nice ideal, it mattered for itself.
