You simply opened the can of worms.

Not sure why I'm involved in this. Never liked the pick. But TA's struggles are beside the point. It's not that he isn't talented, he just seems majorly wasted in the offense by not scheming him correctly. He's a motion guy imo. Gotta get him moving pre-snap. I just don't see the fit here if they can't use him correctly. His size limits him a lot, but with all the size we have at the pass-catching positions now, we should be able to draw some plays up to take advantage of that. Haven't seen except when teams play man coverage on him.

Every week, every team in the NFL has a player to crop on Rams are no different Personally I think the players that are trade bait are Stacy , Givens and Pettis

That's why you're involved. I don't think you need to tell us that you never liked the pick. He's on the Rams. I'm not going into another patience speech. After about one hundred of them this season, people either are going to agree or they're not.

He hasn't done anything to hurt this team and acted as a decoy to spring Bailey for a 90 yard TD. In fact, he's been nothing but reliable at WR this year.

I did read the thread. I didn't attack anyone. I simply made the point that there always has to be someone for the fans of this team to crap on.

When did I crap on TA? You made that up just to make a smart ass comment.

I also think that with all the legit pass catching options we have this year (Quick, Cook, TA, Kendricks, Harkey, Britt, Benny, etc.), you can't make the fans happy every week. One week Quick may have a monster game (like Philly), the next Cookie may be big. Tavon's big game could be coming any time, but I agree jrry. If we're winning and Tavon didn't make any major mistakes to hurt the team, I don't care so much.

I'll bet you all my ROD $$ that none of them get traded

Buffalo lost both RBs today Spiller with broken collar bone and Jackson with pulled groin

Let me remind you of something, on that 3rd down play right before the fake punt that could have won or lost the Rams the game, who did Seattle put Richard Sherman on? Oh right, they put Richard Sherman on Tavon Austin. Why would they do that?

They had Little Richard on Tavon number of times. As much as people raise arguments that Tavon is not being used properly or enough. we all need to be very much aware that NFL DC's are scared to death of what Tavon can do in the open field. Every last one of them gameplans to ensure he is never! open. To leave him wide open to catch and run with the ball is inviting a TD as well as turbo charging a Horns team that gets wild whenever their Little Big Man does anything scintillating.

I just don't see the use of trading him. You aren't likely to get anything good in return, and Tavon has big play potential and draws defenses attention on every play. You often here defenses yelling "11!! 11!!" especially in their mic'd up sessions. They focus a lot on him. I'd like to see us keep Tavon because I think he can be amazing in this league. It obviously takes time for receivers, be patient.

It's an interesting idea. I wouldn't trade him yet. Think there is still more Tavon can bring to this team, but I respect your idea. I like how they are letting him become more and more involved in the offense as the season goes on, but he still isn't getting the ball in his hands enough.

When did I crap on TA? You made that up just to make a smart ass comment.

The comment was directed at you. You simply created the environment for it to take place. The fact that you're getting so defensive over a comment that never referenced you, didn't quote you, and never directed an accusation towards you makes me question if you're being totally up-front with motives here.

If the comment doesn't apply to you, ignore it, rather than assuming that it does. Did I say, "RamzFanz, why do you have to crap on Austin?"

You're taking offense to something not directed at you. And then you took a condescending shot at me.

Bullshit. You came into a thread I created suggesting a trade would benefit the Rams and made a long winded statement about having to jump on a player every week. Being that NO ONE jumped on TA, it was made up in order to be a smart ass.

Forget it. Losing discussion. I, for one, am glad to have Tavon, and am interested in seeing what he will do for us in the future. Offensive lineman can be had, just about anywhere.

Then we should get some. A better O line AND TA, that would be awesome.

Tavon has the capability to be something special. And even if there was a good G/T and C available, this isn't Madden. These players would have problems in our OL scheme since they didn't have training camp here.

Just because the special guy isn't being used as well as he could be, that doesn't make trading him a good idea.

Really? Because I gave you two quotes that suggested otherwise. Rather than waste any more time in this pissing contest, I'm walking away. I have been losing a lot of respect for you over the past few weeks. Don't know what's up with you, my friend, but I think I'm better off just avoiding discussions with you for both our sake. Have a nice evening.
