Ideally I would want Burns and Jacobs, but if I think combo of Chubb and CMC might be what the Rams swing for. Guess we're all dreaming lol

It might be time to start preparing yourselves, Carolina Panthers fans.

Early Thursday afternoon, two different reports hinted towards a possible trade of running back Christian McCaffrey. The first came from Pro Football Network’s Aaron Wilson, who has been told by sources that a move may actually be materializing.

Molly Cotten of 730 The Game ESPN Charlotte came through with a similar tweet—one that’s a bit more hot and heavy:

That 48-hour timeframe is a pretty odd window, considering it’s already Thursday. Carolina is right in the middle of preparations for their Week 7 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which is now approximately 71 hours out.

But, with the trade deadline less than two weeks away, contenders looking for a big boost must starting find help quickly. And that could be the case for two teams that’ve already been linked to McCaffrey—the Buffalo Bills and the Los Angeles Rams, both of whom are currently on a bye.

So, has the plot officially thickened?

"I'll be signing this week!"

I'm still holding out for Brian Burns. They recently waived Takk McKinley & Daniel Hardy appears to be weeks away from returning, why did we open that roster spot at this time ?

Ben Skowronek is a wide receiver, fullback, special teams guru, and... Christian McCaffrey?

Skow didn't have a single special teams snap against Carolina, ... and he's had a grand total of 5 all season.

Didn't want to create a thread for this, so just adding it here.

Michael Hoecht should be moved to TE next yr. They said he was a RB in HS and watching him run that kickoff back 20 yrds and the fact that he supposedly was a 4.65 40 guy in college at 300 lbs, he could be a nice blocking TE/ HB with upside.

Just a thought as I don't see him ever being anything special at DT.

I'm going to go on record and say that, if they pay a big price to get him (maybe we could drive that price up), I'll be fine with the 49ers getting CMC. I don't think he saves them this year, given all their injuries on defense, and next year they're going to take a big step back with Trey Lance as their starter.

Not everyone wins at the F them picks game.

Realistically I think the Rams make a few smaller moves. I hope they get Burns, CMC or someone of that calibur but I don't expect it.
