The Rams will have to over bid when teams like the eagles are involved the only thing the Rams hav going in the overbid negotiation is "look we are 3-3 not 6-0 our pick we be better" and pray a gm is thinking or hoping the Rams are self destructing and their pick will be better than other teams lol

Personally, I'd rather trade Rapp, Tutu & Van Jeff than our 2023 2'nd. I'll take my chances that Snead will eventually hit on that pick, and for 2023 I want to see another IOL drafted with our top pick.
Problem is that teams dont want multiple players, they want multiple picks. Players need to land on the 53 picks dont

Im not advocating any type of trade, but with the Giants being in playoff contention, they could be in the market for a wide out.

Who could we possibly trade for on a Tuesday or Wednesday, who would have an impact in the upcoming niners game? New scheme. New playbook. New surroundings. We're better off hoping Allen, Hill and VJ are full go.....and McVay has about 4 jets sweeps and 4 screen passes in the game plan.

Pass rush help for example. Not hard to rotate one in for situational purposes in the first game.

I'm just replying to another posters comment, ... I don't believe he was suggesting trading these guys at the same time to the same team. Rapp wouldn't bring much as he's a free agent soon, Van Jefferson is just now returning and OBj is still only wishful thinking, so I don't really see him as trade bait until the 2023 season, Tutu doesn't appear to be on McVay's radar much, so a 2022 deadline trade or a 2023 trade wouldn't surprise me. jmo.

Here's what PFF thinks we'll give up for Chubb.....

The Rams don't seem all in to me this year. They seem content with what they have, which is fine but they have many holes. There have been some moves they could have made that could have improved the team but they passed.

Not sure why we didn't attempt to get James Robinson if he could be had for a 6th round pick. I would think he would definitely be worth a 5th
I don't think the Rams have a 2023 fifth round draft choice to trade.

Well, there's a couple ways to look at that... if he stays long term and he stays healthy then absolutely this would be a great trade. If he is injured like he has been most of his career it would be a huge mistake. If he comes and balls out this season and gets a huge contract we would at least get back the 3rd or 4th in 2024. So biggest risk would be if he comes here and is injured and doesn't do much this season and then signs somewhere else next season for a 1 year deal and we get nothing back in return.

But we need pass rush help and this might be our only realistic chance this year so is what it is if Rams want to roll the dice I guess.

I understand that, but the Rams have serious future depth needs which don't really allow me to easily give up our higher end 2023 draft picks. If there's one theme to my debates here it's that giving up 2024 draft picks, however high, are much more preferable than giving up what we have in the upper ranges of our 2023 draft. jmo.
Yeah I look at that 2nd round pick of ours as our Edge. If we move it then it should be for Edge, otherwise hang on to it and use it with 2024 picks if necessary to move up and get a young stud on that blindside.

Why would it make a difference if they lose or not? Their season is already done. Weird
Denver is stupid. They made a bad coaching hire and are reeling right now in that front office.

Yeah, that's the risk we take but I believe we shouldn't trade that much for him since his injury history is long. Besides, wouldn't the Broncos only get a 2024 3rd rd comp pick? If so, this is way more than that. I get it may be the price to pay unfortunately because they know we are in need. Hope it takes less than that.

I figure most around here will agree with you, although I have an IOL penciled in with that pick.
I'll gladly give up most all of our 2024 draft for a top Edge, but I want our 2023 top picks for an IOL and a RB.

Yeah I am a lot more apprehensive about this trade if it happens than I was about the VM one. Hopefully it'll work out.

If the iOL is a road grading sumbish then I would certainly not complain. Or an impact RB which might be there when we pick in round two in this draft. But in general yeah we really need to find a young edge. You can find iOL later in the draft same with RB but you aren't likely to find a starting edge later.

If they were content they would not have made a large offer for CMC.

And Brian burns. I don't see how the idea that they're content keeps popping up with they've been sniffing around every player and even their best reporter expects them to make a trade.

Well, to be honest, I haven't seen many round 2 Edge rushing prospects that are all that appealing for this next draft. Seems a thin group where we likely pick, for me at least.
I'd rather go for Chubb, but with high 2024 picks, not 2023. jmo.
