Did you listen to it? They are blaming the rule changes, especially on defense. So they both say it’s mediocre and neither of them are playing this season. People can believe whatever they want to believe.
They may make good points; and they were both truly great quarterbacks.Did you listen to it? They are blaming the rule changes, especially on defense.
They are right but I think both have had their hand in those changes, especially Brady. They basically say that the rules don’t allow for players to develop to the same level of excellence as some of the greats, like Rey Lewis or Rod Woodson.
Old men sitting on a park bench talking about the good ole days.
The older they get the better they were.
This is so true, it probably merits a separate "off topic" thread. We that were not raised with todays technology shouldn't assume one way is better by applying our ethos to their present challenges, coping mechanisms and social practices. I had some friends over this past weekend who were very critical of our younger generations lack of "in person interaction" I took the opposing view using the examples that our parents were critical of our practices but theirs weren't better but different. We adapt to our social make up and it doesn't make one better than another. As my friends left I turned to my wife an said we don't really have a lot of in person social interaction with friends however our son was upstairs this morning (he is 20 and home for Thanksgiving from college) speaking to his 2 buddies with his screen split that are both still away at school. Does their daily interactions have less value than our occasional in person interaction? I don't know but I wont assume nor judge. I could go on about some of the great conversations I have had with Millennial's & Gen X and the Gen Xers are going to do great things I truly believe it but not without enduring some crazy challenges finding themselves in the middle of a reset. It's all relative. I tell my son I'm blessed to have grown up in So Cal in the 60's. He laughs and says WTF did you do without cell phones? Different time different perspective, doesn't necessarily make one bettter than the other.

I just posted in another thread. Once a ravens lineman brushed the golden boy's helmet with his pinky finger and the ref threw the flag.
Brady is the reason the qb can't be touched anymore. The refs wouldn't allow him to be touched so they had to throw flags for other qbs so it wouldn't look as blatant for him when he was cheating with the cheats.
Fuck I hate him.

Agree 1000%. It’s sad that what protected Brady and elevated his ability to succeed - is the very thing that he is now calling out. Doesn’t everyone remember the tantrum he threw when a Rams player dared to give him a little bloody lip in the playoff game. He’s a true narcissist that just feels the need to stay in the spotlight..

I know he didn’t change the rules, but a lot of the changes were made so that he could thrive. Plus, I never saw a QB bitch and moan to the refs like he did.You realize brady has nothing to do with rule changes? That's done by the owners and CBA. Hate Brady all you want but he isn't the reason for the mentality of the league in it's current state.
