The moon is a better place to go than mars. If we can't get it right there, how will we cope going so far!

Don't get me wrong, mars is cool (looking for life) but... waste of money until we can sort a moon base out.

And surely a moon base is safer for long stays than ISS?
Move the ISS half way as a pit stop rather than crash it.
