Myles Garrett deserves a lifetime suspension and time in prison. What he did was basically assault with a deadly weapon. He could've easily killed Rudolph.

Rudolph should also be suspended. The reason Garrett lost his mind is that Rudolph tried to kick him in the nuts. Pouncey should get a few games at least also. Kicking a guy in the head and throwing a few punches while he is down is as much a chickenshit move as hitting a guy with a helmet. And he claimed he "blacked out".

There is no defense for the actions of all three of these guys.

The NFL needs to suspend all 3 of them, they need to come down hard to send a message that it's unacceptable.

After reviewing the helmet swing to the head, I honestly believe Miles Garrett should:

1. Be banned from the league.
2. Be charged with a felony assault with a deadly weapon.

There is stuff in sports all the time that would be chargeable if outside the arena....or even in the seats.
At first I said 3-4 games.
Now I am thinking the rest of this year with it being open ended into next year. Will end up being a year.
If guys like Gregg Williams, Leonard Little and a host of wife beaters are in the league he will be too.

I saw him trying to push Garrett off of him with his foot. Hard to tell if he did so against his crotch on purpose or if it was just what he could make contact with in the heat of the moment. It’s not like he kicked hard at it. So I don’t see any suspension for Rudolph. Pouncey will definitely get a couple games for the punches and kick though.

I get what you’re saying but I don’t see it happening.
Often laws are enforced dependent on result, in terms of assault anyway.
Two drunks at a bar one punches another and it’s broken up, one guy is kicked out and the other finishes his drink.
Same scenario but the guy who got punched once ends up in the hospital or a coma....the other guy is charged.
That’s all outside of this however.
It happens all the time with fights etc and guys don’t get charged. They get a fine, a suspension (for fighting in hockey).
He could have been charged and I’d be fine with it.
Although given the context I doubt he would get much in the way of punishment.
Who knows, maybe he will get charged with something?

When I was in high school a guy on our team threw his helmet and it hit the coach on purpose. The coach dragged him over to the water hose - with one hand. He then hosed him down and told him to cool the "eff off."

The kid apologized at the end of practice to the team and was at practice the next day.

But if you watch he goes to sack Rudolph.. who gets rid of the ball, but Garrett can't tell, doesn't know that. Rudoplh goes into a spastic rage and tries to pull Garett's helmet - To which Garrett you can kind of tell is like.. ok you little shit here is how you pull off a helmet.

Then Rudolph charges at him like a dumbass.

Garrett then loses control and does something idiotic of epic proportions and swings his helmet.

Garrett should be suspended - but the narrative that Rudolph was an innocent victim of this "bully." is now what happened.

A jury wouldn't convict. It's a waste of time and money and a grossly disproportionate charge for a football fight. Rudolph tried to rip Garrett's helmet off, kicked him in the crotch, and then charged at him again when the situation was starting to deescalate.

Nobody is defending what Garrett did, but it doesn't mean it needs to be handled in the criminal justice system. Had Rudolph been seriously injured, it would be a different situation. But he wasn't. This is an overreaction.

Nah he took a deliberate shot at his bag. He tried to make it look accidental but you can tell he aimed his foot.

Technically it was a late hit even though Garrett didn't likely know the ball was gone. Watch the pass. Rudolph took exception and went after Garrett trying to get his helmet off. Even the announcer said "and now a sack" because he didn't see the ball come out. Rudolph was actually the instigator originally, though he knew he had thrown the ball and figured it was a cheap shot, then Garrett flipped out and did the unthinkable.

IMO Garrett, Pouncey and Rudolph should all get suspended. Obviously Garret by far the harshest, but the other two deserve a time out too.

Garrett took him to the ground when he didn't need to do so late in a game that was over. It was likely an illegal play. Rudolph got pissy and started trying to rip Garrett's helmet off. Instead, Garrett ripped his helmet off. While Garrett was ripping his helmet off, Rudolph kicked him in the balls. At that point, DeCastro intervened and escorted Garrett away. Rudolph got up, charged Garrett, and tried to continue the confrontation. Garrett hit Rudolph on the head with his own helmet. Then, all hell broke loose.
