We used to hear the "too many other things to do" argument to explain why Dolphins fans didn't crowd out the Jets fans at home games in Miami. Didn't really ring true, but it was oft repeated.

If the 49 fans will pay these crazy prices for nose bleed seats, wow!

Your posting is far from trash; and the French also invented Democracy and the Menage A Trois.

By-the-way, as soon as @Loyal can find two willing females, he plans to try the latter.
Look at you with your high society sex games a trois. Next thing I know ow your avatar will be so.wthi g from the kama sutra

Lol, I have to laugh when I hear a 49er fan tell me they're fine with the regular season win streak and don't care about the one loss because it shows dominance. I know they are not fine with it. When their season ends with a loss and the window shuts down hard on them, its gonna be a beautiful sight to behold. Its ugly out there with all those 49er flags flying around here. Soon they will be back in moth balls. :laugh4:

That just has to be internal motivation for Rams players!!!
No way that doesn't provide motivation.

I got to believe the 2021 NFC Championship Game loss to the Rams has to haunt many 49ers' fans.

I can't speak for any other die-hard sports' fans but as a 50-plus-year Rams' die-hard, for me, the most painful losses (aside from the Super Bowls) were the two NFC Championship Game losses in Minnesota all the way back in 1974 and 1976.

And the reasons are the same. The Rams were as good or better than the Vikings those seasons; AND, in my opinion, the Rams were the better team those two days but lost heart-breaking games that denied them a Super Bowl appearance.

The Rams have lost other huge playoff games in my half century of fandom (FUCK! I am old!).
Their record in NFC Championship Games, prior to the Greatest Show on Turf in 1999, was an awful 1-6.
I remember them all very well; and the Rams had some excellent teams those seasons. However, the other four losses (excluding the MN games in '74 and '76) were to teams that were Much Better that specific day.
I can ... and have ... accepted that. But those two losses to the Vikings haunt me.

No complaints though, I have many great memories of terrific post-season victories. A few of which were games where the Rams may not have been the better team even on that particular day. Things do balance out ... if you live to be an old-fart like me.

By-the-way, the Rams are 4-0 in NFC Championship Games since 1999!

Whiner fans always disappear when they're losing. Have always done this. It's their nature. Talk crap before a game then scurry away after they get slapped around. Time to send them back into hiding.
Just like shecock fans. Even at their home field. I've witnessed it several times. I've seen more Rams games in sheattle than in LA and the Lou combined. They are the biggest front runner fans I've ever seen.

If the Rams fans bought all the tickets and didn’t scalp them there wouldn’t be any for the other fans to have.
Problem is that you can't control that and thousands of season tickets are bought in LA with the intent to sell them to the highest bidder. They know there is money to be made - especially if the Rams are good.

We just need to get over it.

Fans will travel to sunny LA in the winter - or any time of year where they won't do it to sit in the snow.

Fairweather My AZZ. They fill Dodgers Stadium 81 times a year. And Dodger stadium is 50K.
Dodgers games are the best attended games in baseball, both home and away year after year. Watch an away Dodger game. Many times the blue hats way outnumber the home colors.

Football is a different matter all together. There are only 17 games and many fans plan whole vacations around football games. I've done it around Rams games in cities that are nowhere near as tourist oriented and popular as LA.

You have to figure that you can go to Malibu, Disneyland, walk of fame, skiing in Big Bear or Mammoth, take a boat ride to Catalina island, etc.. etc... etc... in the dead of winter and likely be dealing with great weather.

It's also why I don't buy Spanos' rationale for leaving SD. That stadium was always packed. Granted, it was generally with opposing team fans - including Rams fans - but the weather in SD is almost perfect year round. He just wanted someone else to pay for a stadium.

I will say that before Georgia pulled her shit show of running the team, the Rams were at the top of attendance and most of the fans were wearing blue. But that was before the absolute explosion of the NFL as THE ticket.

Inflation is a mofo, my wallet is constantly hurting almost having to pay 6 bucks a gallon for gas. I am fine with watching the game at home or at a local watering hole with other fans. I don’t feel bad for not buying tickets to go to a game.

Add to that Dodgers have been in LA for 65 years. Trying to compare them to the Rams is kind of disingenuous.

This is nothing new. Same when they played at the Big A. Opposing teams always took over the Stadium.
But that stadium absolutely sucked for a football game and Georgia was already destroying the team with intent.
The Rams had a solid fanbase before they moved to Orange County. If I remember right-- I think they lost 1/3rd of their fans. In the 1960s-- they filled up the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum with 100,000 plus fans.
Exactly. I watched games as a kid in the coliseum and it was almost all Rams fans with huge attendance. Even when OJ came to town with the Bills, there were like 90% Rams fans. The big A sucked.
If Kroenke wants more Ram fans maybe he should give us a price break. But that isn't going to happen.
And you think this will relate to other fans not paying more? Seriously?
Slamming Rams fans anywhere is ignorant.
A whole lot of shit was talked about __. _____ Rams fan support and I remember the many claims made about how different it will be once they're back in ___ _______.
I believe LA can handle the expectations that come with being the hometown fans. I dont buy the "too many options" excuse. Team support is about passion, not pastimes. LA can be home to passionate fans and great attendance. They've proven it in other sports and it's not like the NFL is croquet or fütbōl.... if Seattle can create a strong home field advantage from around 2012 and maintain it for over a decade, LA can be expected to show up better for these Rams, IMHO.

I think fans should be more critical over hometown/regional fan attendence until we start getting a home field advantage again....
...or even just a neutral field vs our greatest rivalry...
What else has Sheattle got going during football season? Human shit in Space Needle park? The dilapidated Bell Tower district? The Mariners that are rarely relevant? Maybe it's the Sonics... oh wait!

I was in Sheattle when they were still building the current stadium. That game was at least 75% Rams fans.

Fail.

Yeah. I think you're being myopic. The Dodgers have been there for many decades in the same stadium and have almost always been in contention. Same for the Lakers. The Kings have a home rink but rarely does ANYONE travel for hockey. They should but they don't. And NO ONE really cares about soccer.

Funny. I was going to bring that up.

When the Phins play northern seaboard teams, the opposing teams show up in droves. I've never been but I remember from watching Yets and Patsie games.

Let me just put this out there. We may NEVER enjoy a home field advantage.

If I'm traveling hundreds or thousands of miles to see my team, you're going to fucking hear me loud and clear.

Fuck your sensibilities. I'm going to be loud and proud. @Selassie I @BigRamFan @Ramrasta @RhodyRams and several others can attest to that when we went to tampon Bay several years ago. We absolutely drowned out the bucs fans.

Hahaha... hooboy, that's... that's... that's not an LA thing.

I will say, Rams could do a better job highlighting the stars at the game. Interviewing them (if they're willing), etc... this city is still run on movie and TV stars (though that's in big decline) and Rams need to highlight the connection between the stars and the team.

Think Jack sitting courtside at the Lakers game.

Edit: And God, I could go on about the death of the movie star.
