That play alone is not why the Lions lost... but it's hard for ANY team to beat a good team AND the refs.Gotta disagree here.
This is how fans blow things out of proportion. The call that went against Detroit (well, for, then reversed) is all anyone remembers. But, that play was followed by a 10 yard punt and 2 third down penalties (legit flags) that kept a Dallas drive alive that led to a TD, instead of a FG. Detroit also got the ball back and did nothing with it.
It was a big play in a big moment, but, that play alone is not why Detroit lost.
The call that went against Dallas vs. GB, again, was a bad call (Im sure it was "correct" given the vague and stupid language in that rule....I don't see how gaining possession and taking two steps in not a catch) but Cowboys conveniently forget Murray fumbling inside the GB 5.
Dallas had plenty of opportunities to win that game.
All of that said, screw the refs.

What the hell would they do without us. There's you, me, CGI (ass kissing alert) and...did I mention you already?RamFan503 realizing he's one of the few smart ones and proud of it:

Ok, so I'm stupid.he didn't take two steps. he was falling to the ground and his feet touched the ground 3 times while falling over, then he lost possession when he hit the ground. a very straight forward rule which has been in place for a long time.
generally speaking here, i'm amazed that so many fans of the nfl mix up different rules when looking at this play.
.
Hard to say of they would have won or not. It certainly would have helped. So, I agree to a degree with your disagreement. That play alone is not why the Lions lost... but it's hard for ANY team to beat a good team AND the refs.
If that play is called correctly, it's very likely the Lions win.
So I disagree.
Yeah, you're right. The non call in Dez was maddening. What people also forget was the NFL came out and said that there was not 1 but three blown calls on the popular non-PI play - in effect, any 3 of them giving them a first down..Besides the PI, the same LB should have been called for defensive holding...as well as dez bryant running onto the field, helmet off, to argue, unsportsman like..
