We aren't privy to discussions between McVay and Snead, but I am certain that they have specific plans for the Rams going forward. I know there are some anxieties on this board because of uncertainty but I trust in McVay. In 6 years, we have 5 seasons with winning records. The one losing season was a miserable injury riddled season. But we also had 4 playoff appearances, 2 Superbowl appearances, and a super bowl championship. I'll take it.

I trust in McSnead to get it done. The bar has been raised so we expect more, which is good. But I can recall so many bad years where I was just hoping the Rams would be respectable. Now we expect to win super bowls. That's a good thing. But we also need to realize that the window to win it all isn't open every single year. This could be a year where we take some lumps for going all in for SB 56, but with good fortune and a good draft, who knows?

To be honest, I never in my wildest dreams thought the Rams would win SB 56. I figured we could win a few playoff games. But when the whiners beat the packers and we had home field for the NFCCG, I started to hope and dream of a title.

I don't know what the plan is going forward, but I trust McVay and Snead. And, Cooper Kupp was a 3rd round pick. Enough said?

McVay also came to a team that had a decent amount of talent, just a bad coach before hand. He added a few pieces but didn't have to rebuild a whole defense or offense from the ground up.

I’d be more worried if McVay had bounced prior to these changes. The fact he is in, and says in for the long haul, makes me feel at ease.

More good times ahead - might just need to have some patience and let the rebuild/remodel unfold.

Definitely a good run and hopefully they are setting things up to pull in some quality players through FA and the draft.

I am anxious to see how this year’s draft works out, there have been too many projects and not enough hits the last 2 or 3 years.

Snead and McVay have taken the Rams to the Super Bowl twice in four years winning the last one. How many teams can say the same? Now they are priming the team to make another run. I can't wait to see how FA and the Draft go. Snead drafts very well actually. His ability to find talent among UDFA is amazing. Shelton bounced around as an UDFA for the Niners and Cards before being signed by the Rams. The word is he is being looked at by a number of teams as an OL starter. Scott was an UDFA and developed into a classic style starting FS. Matt Gay was rejected by the Bucs and Colts before blossoming in LA as one of the best PK in the NFL.

Not every GM gets it right on draft day. But both Noteboom and Allen proved they can play well at this level. The problem with Allen is staying healthy. But Snead finding gold in other teams' rejects is why I think Thomas and perhaps Toner might fall into that category. I especially like Thomas, as he brings exceptional athleticism to the position. I watched Zach Thomas play at SDSU and liked what I saw. He was a OT then but his metrics scream OG at this level.

This should be fun to watch how it pans out.

It would be great if the Rams make decisions the ROD masses agree with over the next couple of years. The Rams managed to win a SB despite the poor offensive line drafting. It's time the Rams get the offensive line to a much higher level. They need to spend higher draft capital and/or free-agent acquisitions on the offensive line. They need to protect Stafford and open holes for the run game.

In the past, I tried to defend a lot of the draft picks. This year I will be scrutinizing the draft picks and free agent moves. I'm looking for a solid two-year get-back-into-contention game plan. So far creating future cap space and having draft picks to work with is a good start.

Morris hates fast athletic DBs. Thats why he played slow DBs like Hill and Kendrick over Durant and Rochell. Nick Scott will go on to be one of the best FS in the League IMO. He reminds me of Rodney Harrison with his speed and willingness to bring the hammer. Morris is a damn fool for letting him walk. But it's indicative of his "good enough" mentality. That's why his defenses have been and will forever be mediocre.

Morris will eventually change the Rams back to a 4-3 scheme and that will complete his de-evolution of this defense. When the NFL is moving away from a scheme that limits innovation, Morris is moving to it because it's easier on him. He doesn't have to be creative. Think I'm harsh? Just look at his defenses they lack imagination, they are simplistic with no effort to disguise the scheme. Why? Because it's good enough.

Fuller is a slow FS. Yeast though looked good. Lake I question,but at least The Rams drafted for the future.

I feel slightly different.

Nobody, none of the Rams forums have been on the same wave length as the Rams war room. And despite that, they've had 5 winning seasons and.....well we all know what they've done. So why change?

Everybody likes to try and figure out the way they will or should go. Yet they keep going another way and winning (except last year and we all know that was a plethora of injuries). They don't invest enough in OL?

They signed Whit and Sullivan back in 2017. Their first two draft picks in 2018 were OL (3rd & 4th round). They drafted two more OL in 2019 (3rd and 5th). Traded for another in season (former 2nd rd). Drafted another in 2020 (7th). Then last year their first and last picks were OL (3rd & 7th rd). In 6 years, the've acquired 11 OL. I expect they're going to grab another, possibly 2 more this year.

They haven't had first round picks to draft OL with and the fact is in the two years they had no 2nd round picks, their first selection was OL. Sure some didn't work out but not for lack of trying. And remember, despite some failures, they've been extremely successful.

Some might say, "sure because of guys like Gurley, Goff, Kupp, Woods, Akers, Donald, Fowler, Floyd, Ramsey, Stafford, OBJ and Von Miller!" I agree! And I also would note, none of them play OL. So they need to find more of those types.

They've tried and the whole time they've managed to invest in the OL too. Maybe Rams sites aren't on the same wave length as the Rams war room because the Rams war room has a good idea what they're doing!

Really? First off, there wasn't a decent amount of talent on offense. Gurley, Saffold, Havenstein, a young Higbee and a green Goff.

Who did he bring in? Watkins, Woods, Whitworth, Sullivan, Kupp, Everett and Reynolds. Half the line and all of the receiving corp. Then he turned Goff into an NFL QB.

On defense he had more.... Donald, Quinn, Joyner, TruJo and Brockers. He brought in Ebukam and John Johnson.

He inherited a sub .500 team, built and installed an NFL offense in year one, then gutted the defense in year 2 and went to the Superbowl.

There were 10 starters on the 2018 team who were there when McVay arrived. And 3 of them were gone by 2019.
