If the Dallas Cowboys hadn't had a winning season in the last 10 years they'd all be San Antonio Spurs fans today.

This study doesn't really measure the "best" fans. It measures which fanbases are the most profitable. But that wouldn't get much notoriety if they were honest about it.

For my money, the Cleveland Browns have the best fans.

If you look at it in groups of 5, the top 5 probably isn't off by much. Although I'd argue for Green Bay to be in there over Baltimore.

While they might not be nice fans, Philly fans are pretty passionate and should be ranked higher.

I agree with jrry, Cleveland would be top 10 in my book.

This^ No question although Jet fans should be up there too, however, at the very minimum they had Joe Willie back when LBJ was in the White House....As the people jeered..."Hey, Hey, LBJ, How many kids you killed today?"

Like X said, teams that win more have more support and teams that win less have less support. There are exceptions but not many. This team went through the worst five year stretch in NFL history. Not many teams fan bases would be going to as many games as Rams fans would. I know we are biased here, but that's true. You can post pics of many fan bases with a large tailgait groups. And there are fans in all stadiums who don't pay attention to the games. Some people don't have the money to go to a lot of games and when you go a decade without going to the playoffs, a lot of people are going to wait for the team to show them that they're deserving of their money. That's just how it is. I'm sure the dome was rocking in the glory years. It will be again once they go to the playoffs.

Ehh... I don't agree with this list at all.

A list like this is nonsense for several reasons. The Cowboys have benefited from 30 years of media bias. During the 70's, 80's and 90's, they were always the featured team on CBS. People without a hometown affiliation naturally jumped on that bandwagon. And yes, their success helped. But to call their fans 'better' than long-suffering and fiercely loyal Raider fans (one example) is indicative of the type of drivel we get to sift through this time of year...

I Guarantee this egghead from Menlo Park is a typical clueless 49er 'fan'. Who gives a shit what he thinks.

Funny. After what I witnessed in Tampa last year, I would put them at about 33. Half time of a close game and half the home fans were gone instead of waiting out a little lightning delay.
