Overall a much better performance by the Rams. Still things to work on but we beat a bad team travelling across country and playing a 10am game.
I now know why I had the feeling you were mocking us all on the GDT thread, week after week...lol. I couldn't watch the game this week, for the first time all year, and so I began at the beginning of the GDT thread until the end, knowing the 37-10 final score before I began. Effing hilarious!

We did not let Mattie Ice carve us up today. RAMsey was a force today, even though Julio got his catches, they were inconsequential. I’ll wait to see our defense against some better teams before I go gaga, but very very encouraging!

Oh my, Ramsey's gonna be salty! Here is a snip of conversation/interview after the game....
“Similar, going against Hopkins like going against Julio?” -reporter

“No…no” ~Jalen

“What’s different.?” ` reporter

“Uh..I’m just gonna say they not similar..Nah, they not similar. If I was really in my groove, like on my shyte? It would have really been scary out there. Put it that way.” ` Jalen

daaaaaaamn!

I don't remember at exactly what point in the game it was but at some point my wife turned to me and said "I get why you were so excited about this Ramsey guy" Having him completely changed what this defense did - and Atlanta's offense has been going off most of this season.

Atlanta may not be a good team, but they do have a top passing O. I like what I saw from the D today and expect them to get better going forward. Wade can now get after the passer and stuff the run due to Ramseys ability to play man coverage, who knows maybe Hill or Long will emerge in Talibs absence and we will have a dominate D like we havent had in a long long time.

Fowler had his best game as a Ram; Edwards showed well in his first start on the Ol; and Ramsey held Julio to three catches, if I am not mistaken. I think Julio went off on Peters for like 11 catches for almost 200 yards, if I remember correctly. Hill also had a nice game on Ridley. Plus Hooper did not have the big game that I was worried about. I hope they play this man to man coverage the rest of the season.

Thought Edwards looked pretty good. OL was and is my #1 concern.

Blythe got blown up a couple times and wasn’t quick enough to his block. Seems like Hav has settled down a bit.

Didn't get to see the game today, but listened to it on the radio and have seen some highlights. Overall, very pleased. On offense, it seems like we got a lot of our mojo back, Goff was pretty good, and once Everett got in sync with him, some big plays were made. Running game still needs work, particularly the OL in that respect ... although I like the flashes we are seeing from Henderson. I realize ATL doesn't have a great D (or even a good one) ... but can you imagine how dire our straits would be if we hadn't been able to move the ball well against even them? Well, we did, and it was a good game for us to break in Edwards and give the OL time to gel ... although I part of me wonders if we couldn't do better with a swap of Austins (Corbett for Blythe) at RG.

The D? Now that was an unqualified success today. Keep in mind that's a team with an established upper tier QB, three good-to-great WR's in Jones, Ridley and Sanu, and a decent RB in Freeman (well, until the 3rd quarter ejection anyway ... :ROFLMAO:) ... and outside of a 1st quarter FG, that O didn't get shit until garbage time. Ramsey's presence made an immediate impact, and it showed up in the stat sheet in terms of sacks. On the radio broadcast, Maurice Jones Drew noted that being able to play press man like we did for much of the game gave the defense one extra step to get there, and it absolutely showed. And how good is this D going to be when Matthews returns and (hopefully) JJ makes it back late season? Today the D not only survived but thrived against a team that is loaded at the skill positions. It's hard to be anything less than ecstatic with their performance today.

So was Blythe the weak link in the interior today?

Did you guys see Gurley's locker room interview? Man.... he's seems like he's half a tick from going off on the reporters. Just about every interview this year he just seems that he can't be bothered by them. Seems very short and tense with his responses.

There were still issues.
Blythe missed some, Edwards missed some as well.
Edwards was much more sound pass blocking. He was able to not whiff pass blocking and seemed to coordinate pretty well with Allen.
He had some good run blocks as well but also missed some.
Over all much better at G and look forward to him growing with reps.
