Let’s slow down a little bit here.

i think Boom is gonna be a fine LOT for us next year, so Trent Williams would not be a wise use of valuable resources.

it seems a bit premature to even think of moving Hav inside or trading him away. I think he deserves a chance to gel with his new OL teammates. There will plenty of time to make such moves next offseason IF Hav disappoints all this year.

I do see the need for 2 CB starters next year, unfortunately. But that doesn’t mean one of them has to be the prohibitively expensive diva Ramsey. Harris seems like a more attractive trade target. And/or a high draft pick on one side paired with Long on the other (unless they’ve already soured on Long?)

Bottom for me is to pass on these proposed trade options.

Pretty dissapointing draft class for us so far. We thought Henderson and Long would play significant roles for us this year but both have not even seen the field. Although Rapp has been decent. I still say lets re-sign CJ Anderson to pound the rock. 3-headed rush attack Gurley-Brown-Anderson.

If Geno Atkins is available, that's a guy we need to pursue. Same with Jalen Ramsey. Obviously, I wouldn't give up a ton for Atkins due to his age, but Atkins, Donald, and Brockers would be an unstoppable trio on the DL.

With Matthews injured I do not want ebukam in that spot. I'd like to roll the dice on Nick Perry at a heavily discounted contract like league minimum. Is he still available??? I believe he should be and I think much like Mathews he could feed off scraps of Donald.

They don't see the field because we have too many veterans.

So

Sorry - I've never seen Peters have a good series tackling must less a good game. The man is allergic to tackling.

The way I worded it was weird. I meant if we could even get a replacement for Peters that couldn't cover a WR but could tackle, then it would be an improvement over Peters who cant cover a WR OR tackle.

If we are going to the margin bin for pennies on the dollar here is a few players I would consider:

Geno Atkins DT Bengals https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cincinnati-bengals/geno-atkins-6628/
Andrew Billings DT Bengals
Dalvin Tomlinson DT Giants https://overthecap.com/player/dalvin-tomlinson/5641/
Tim Settle DT Redskins https://overthecap.com/player/tim-settle/7048/
Grady Jarrett DL Atl https://overthecap.com/player/grady-jarrett/3985/

If coaches don't think Greg Gaines is ready then they should add a player that can help this season.

Thoughts?

Agree. It would be nice to get production immediately out of 3rd rounders in some capacity right away.

I guess, however, you could make an argument where do the snaps come from?

Not a smart statement. Henderson, Long, etc are not beating out seasoned encumbants.
