Per Adam Scheffler it's yet another one year contract.
Heh...the trend among former Rams for single year deals continues.
Discuss....

The one year contract thing is a little bizarre. These players are 2 years removed from being part of the number 1 defence and a SB win. Our rivals are a tough crowd.

He should have picked the Pats because if memory serves, the Bills play two high safeties

Best of luck to him unless we play them.

One year deals so they can all come back in '24 when we have a ton of cap, makes sense.

I was impressed with him the last half of this season. But besides his rookie year he hasn't really improved much. Good luck Rapp. Cool name, meh player.

Loved the pick and was excited to see him grow into this defense after a promising rookie season, but then something changed. At some point he was no longer in that hybrid/mark barron role, playing more in the box. He was playing deeper where his skillset did not appear as strong. Used correctly, in the box and closer to the LOS, I still think he can be a solid NFL starter.

At least there won’t be too much bitching and moaning about THIS signing. Rapp was not in good standing on ROD the past couple seasons. His maligning was daily and I cannot recall one post suggesting he get re-signed.

I was a way bigger of fan of how Staley used him down the stretch in that Mark Barron role before he left than Morris shoe-horning him in as a deep safety...

It's amazing how many 2nd round players are no longer with their original teams from 2019 or even in the league still.

Byron Murphy
Rock Ya-Sin
Jawaan Taylor
Douchebo Samuel (fuck)
Greg Little
Cody Ford
Sean-Murphy Bunting
Trayvon Mullen
Dalton Risner
Drew Lock
Jahlani Tavai
Elgton Jenkins (good player)
JoeJuan Williams (still on team..idk if he's good or not)

Greedy Williams
Marquise Blair
Erik McCoy (still on team)
Ben Naogu
Irv Smith
AJ Brown (ok different reasons)
Drew Sample
Miles Sanders (hes ok)
Lonnie Johnson
Max Scharping
Mecole Hardman
JJ Arcega-White Side
Trysten Hill
Parris Campbell
Nasir Adderley
Taylor Rapp
Andy Isabella
Juan Thornhill
DK Metcalf (good player)

That's 5/32 that are on their original team. AJ Brown still a stud but moved for other reasons. That's terrible. Even mighty FOs like KC missed on Mecole Hardman. Man by looking at this list it's hard to believe any GM is any good at this. Why the draft is so overhyped and over analyzed.

Rapp and Long were picked on relentlessly when in coverage. They were the two biggest holes in our defense in coverage.

But Rapp was solid near the line as a tackler. He could also float back and get some picks in the short zone.

Addition by subtraction for our defense. Bust pick at 61st overall.

Rapp was a good tackler near the line of scrimmage, but seemed to be played out of position the past 2 or 3 yrs. I like the youngster Lake, he reminds me of Johnny Johnson and came off as very intelligent on the podcast I saw him on last season.

Debo has a huge pay jump in the next two seasons. $28 mil in 2024
$24 mil in 2025. I wonder if the Niners will be able to afford him.

Glad Rapp is out. Not good in coverage. Never understood the selection given his lack of range.

It seems Ramsnation will have to find a new whipping boy on the defense. Wait, forgot Kendricks. They already have a replacement for Rapp!!!:ROFLMAO:

All these guys signing a one year deal makes me think maybe we overvalued them as Rams players. The rest of the league doesn't seem to value them as much. Maybe losing them isn't as devastating as we think?

The way this offseason is going, it wont be hard to find.
