On Saturday I had a very long zoom talk with several of my friends who live in Seattle. They fucking thought I was smoking too much shit when I was adamant that the Rams would win going away and only the end of the game would save them. I told them the Rams would score at least 30 points. Basically, I told them the same thing I've said here.

Well, I just got done with a much shorter version with them today. Wow, Seattle fans are in full blown panic mode. Replacing Carroll is common talk. They all hope the Rams look good against the Niners even if we lose, in order to make sense of their loss. We caught them at the perfect time. The fans and team drank the media cool aid and are still in shock.

The bottom line is this Rams team is a work in progress but they are not as bad as people before Sunday's game have been saying. There are some things on the OL that definitely need cleaning up. But more importantly, the play of the secondary needs to be better. It was pretty good but there is a lot of room for improvement and it starts by playing Durant and Tomlinson outside and Shelley at SCB. The front 7 needs a whole lot of work, and Morris must absolutely can his Fangio read / react style of front 7 play. The Rams only got pressure when they played a one gap attacking style in the front 7.

I haven’t read every Power Ranking posted after week one, but NFL.com, ESPN and Bleacher Report all somehow still have the Seahawks above us.

Maybe I’m getting old, and my memory isn’t what it once was, but who just trounced whom at their own place?

It stemmed from them needing us to be bad, because they're salty at our SB win; they needed their silly "the Rams bought their SB and now they have to pay with years of bottom feeding" narrative to pan out.

Which reminds me, has Florio commented anything on our win yet?

And they will never admit they were wrong. They'll just move onto week 2 and throw darts to make their predictions while collecting their paychecks.
But if they get something right, they practically throw their shoulders out patting themselves on the back. Doesn't happen often though.

I was on a cruise and in Ensenada, MX during the game. Had some Raiders, Seahawks, and 9ers fans in attendance as we watched games on the ship sports bar. The talk was how we "paid for our SB win" and won't be relevant for a decade. I "drunkenly" guaranteed a W and reminded the Raiders and 9ers fans about our 2nd string win last year and our Playoffs win end route to our SB.
Thank goodness our boys backed my shit talk up.

Does anyone really believe we hold Seattle to 12 yards in the second half if both their tackles don't get injured and Lockett isn't in and out of the game during concussion protocol?

I love love love the defensive performance we had - the strength of it being our secondary - but our run D and pass rush need to be better to win games after week one and against teams that are more consistent and aren't blown up by injuries.
No I didn't I had very little faith in our defense. Then again both starting OT for Seattle were Gone. So it was like us last year, hard to perform on offense. We couldn't stop there offense in the first half. They barely stopped our offense, so that is much better.
But without both of their stating OTs it was a easy. We will see when we play the 49ers. We will see.

Mike Florio and his sidekick Sim’s totally destroyed the Rams in their pregame selection piece. They said the Seahawks had much more talent and it was likely to be a huge blow out. Florio said that the Rams will pay a long time for the F them picks. Florio has a prime spot on the NBC telecast. Wonder how they feel about how both their so called experts and insiders got caught with their pants down. That wasn’t a fluky fumble and interception filled game it was a complete physical domination on both sides of the ball for the Rams in the second half. Seahawks gained a total of 12 net yards in the second half.

Florio and Simms are clueless trash.

F them picks got the Rams 2 super bowl appearances and a super bowl title. F the talking heads.

Kinda curious as to why some feel the need to make excuses for our win. Seahawks didn't have this or that. Almost as if they are waiting for the I told you so with the next game. Nuts to that. What I am hoping for is a competitive game. A win of course ,but if not punch the 9ers in the mouth and keep it close because we will be a much better team come the last game of the regular season.

This is where I'm at. Saw some things I really liked... secondary really showed out, imo.
But the edge thing is a disaster zone right now. I really like Young, but he is raw and would be a rotational backup on a good defense *right now.* He's being force-fed and that's a good thing for this defense.

But this week the Rams are going to face an offense that doesn't ignore weaknesses.. rather one that will spam the hell out of them until a team is dead. If the Rams don't really shore up their run D on the outside.. it's going to be very ugly, imo.

We gotta remember.. in addition to losing their starting tackles.. the Seahawks offense was sputtering at the end of last season. The odds that they were overhyped as a unit are high.

I guess after seeing what happened last year with the Rams, some would see how much an offense could be derailed by injuries to the line.

Not many people called this and I’ve heard a couple radio hosts hedging on the idea that the rams are any good. I heard 2 different people say that this is the healthiest the rams will be. That’s true for pretty much everyone but I assume that comment is aimed at Stafford and the o-line. Yes, Stafford gets hurt but he’s not the only one, is anyone thinking stuff like this about Tua or Burrow? No one seems to remember that 4/5’s of the ram’s o-line was hurt last year and Stafford got his brains beat in. With decent protection Stafford can put up numbers, we’ll see if he can get that against SF or Dallas.

I rarely participate in the off season banter about our team. Why? Well yesterday is a prime example. I do read the board and listen to the talking heads. And as far as I could tell from all the information out there. We the Rams were total trash as a team. I heard it and read it everywhere. We were an after thought. Now my non comments in the off season stems from the St. Louis years where each year of Fisher we were always the team to watch, the team you don't wanna play early on. Mostly wasn't true. So I prefer to set back and see what we put on the field. And I am not an expert or talking head. I don't know how far we will go. But from what I saw yesterday, my opinion is we will be in every game we play. (without injuries) And that's fine with me. So to all the talking heads and experts and predictors.(even on this board sadly)
Kiss my ass! In the nicest possible way of course.
There was every reason there for us to not be considered a great team after only winning 5 games so the predictions were understandable. Its literally been 1 game and we shall see how we hold up as 1 game isn't going to tell us how the year ends. I was one of those that said bottom 5 team based on our unknown defense. They showed up for game 1 although the run defense in the 1st half was not where we want it to be. There's many more to go. I said I'd go into the year with no expectations and just simply cheering us to win because to be quite honest, no one does truly know how the season will go. I will kindly say kiss my ass as well because although most of us have different predictions, we all want the Rams to win every damn game. No need to blast our fellow Ram fans. Even if we happen to be a bottom 5 team in the long run, I would take no joy in my prediction becoming reality. With that said, I'm always a Rams fan first so lets fucking kick the shit out of those piece of shit Whiners!

I don’t understand the NCAA football ranking logic at all. Starting the season, LSU was #5. Florida State was #8. They defeated LSU and jumped to #3?

How does beating #5 LSU make a team better than #2, 3 &4 ?

How do they know just how big of a win it really was? Maybe they had LSU ranked much higher than they should have? In that case it would just mean that LSU drops down and every team behind them moves up one. It makes more sense.

It’s just proof that rankings make no sense. They are just opinions driven by bias and greed.

Ok, you kiss my foot too. Honestly I'm just giving shit more than anything, but I know you mean well and are pumped by our first and dominating win. Hopefully the Rams are using their feet to kick more ass.

There should be no rankings until after the 4th week. Some teams end up getting a head start and others end up starting behind the starting line.

Thank God for the National NFL Media!

What would we know-nothing Football Morons do without it?

Here is the headline from a new article written by the BRILLIANT Adam Schefter.

"Rams taking big dead cap hit to set up future, sources say"

WHO KNEW!?!
Seriously guys. What would we dumb-ass Rams' fans do without Schefter and his INSIDE SOURCES?!?
