A lot of them happened in the same season.

One I haven't seen mentioned was Game 2 of the 1999 season, against Atlanta. The first game was a tougher, uglier win against Baltimore. The fact that they won that first one was encouraging after Green went down but it was the Atlanta game where I really thought, "something is DIFFERENT here. This could be a thing." It was between that game and the Niners throttling that I think people started really believing it.

Still see Flipper Anderson running into the tunnel after his TD catch at the meadows.
I thought about including that one in my Desert Island game thread.

As Flipper runs into the tunnel, not only is that sweet, but the camera pans over to this dude with Giants flags, and a Giants cap and a Giants shirt and as he realizes what just happened, he just slowly lowers the flags as he stands there in shock.

Hahaha

Hey,,, I love my Captain (so what if it's cheap) LOL.

Kalik Light ... drank many of those. It's my only option when I run out of Corona Light. It's really not all that much different in taste. After 4 or 5 who gives a crap anyway.

Haha I was just talking about how cheap it is in general in the Caribbean. The first night we got there we drove into town and stocked up. I tried hiding some 151 bottles in my suitcase but the airline customs guys made me take it out. Said it would "rip through the plane like napalm" if it broke open. I said, so I can just go pour it all out in the sink then? They said oh no no no don't do that just leave it with us. Lol

Fucking loved that vacation. Still miss the conche salad :(

I'll be making my own fresh conch salad in a couple of weeks. It's my favorite food period. We always pick up 10 - 15 first thing in the morning. We use half of them for bait throughout the day... they stay totally alive in the boat all day long no problem. Big grouper and mutton snapper love whole conch (minus the shell of course)... awesome bait. The rest we make into fresh salad at the end of each day. Stick the salad on ice while we clean our fish... then eat that kings.

Conch is known as the Bahamian Viagra btw. It has more testosterone than a bull elephant apparently. No shit. Especially if you eat the pistol,,, but I'm not going to get into the details of that.

Monday nt win over the SB champion Steelers at the Colesium... I think it was 1975, and the Steeler won the SB again. Jaw started the game at QB and actually ran a sneak to win it.

There was a time when we couldn't beat the Cowboys & Vikings (but boy could we stomp SF), when we did, those were sweet wins..but no SB wins followed. This is a time when we've had trouble with the Hawks & 9ers. Beating them down, in a playoff atmosphere will be sweet also. I'd have to go with our SB win, but it's not as sweet to me as the rivalry games...

Sunday October 10 1999 - Rams 42 defeat whiners 20 --- still brings a smile to my face just thinking how we smacked 'em.

I loved that game. They started out with a long, time-sucking drive for a TD, and then the next two TD's were quick-strike go-for-the-jugular bombs from Kurt, one to Bruce and one to Holt. One of them came right after a pick by Chandler, and it really put an end to the competitive phase of the game. After week 1 I figured we'd finish about 8-8 ... after this one, I started to think more was possible.
