I could see an extension, with a solid run game and what should be pretty solid pass blocking.Juicing up the guaranteed money for this and next year says to me that there is quite possibly an extension coming next year

Clearly setting up for an extension to hit next season and beyond, leaving less dead money to account forMore money in 2024, in exchange for fewer guarantees in 2025....?
Really hope MS wants to keep it going next year as well, he's nowhere close to done.

Rams, Matthew Stafford’s contract revision is only the beginning, not end
We were told Matthew Stafford only wanted future security not more money in 2024, then the opposite came truewww.turfshowtimes.com
Welp, what are the options? You can try and win the lottery in the draft (not likely) or acquire a great veteran that costs 50 million a year.you'd have to think that someone with his skills, playing at or near his peak performance for the last couple of years before retirement, could salt away an extra $100M in a couple of years with a decent extension. That could really pad the ole retirement plans!!![]()
I don’t think so I think they draft a qb asapJuicing up the guaranteed money for this and next year says to me that there is quite possibly an extension coming next year
They can, and should, do both. Not mutually exclusiveI don’t think so I think they draft a qb asap
I don't get where the "reporter" got this information. Maybe he just interpreted it wrong. Maybe I'm wrong. But I had heard all along that Matthew was looking for more guaranteed money for THIS season and that it wasn't about more money overall but that more of the money would be guaranteed now.More money in 2024, in exchange for fewer guarantees in 2025....?
Really hope MS wants to keep it going next year as well, he's nowhere close to done.

I agree. No risk of lost season(s) to see if the rookie is a “hit” or “miss”.Personally, I want us to draft a QB of the future. But I don’t see McSnead going that route. If/when Stafford hangs it up, you’ll see Snead go after a big QB trade (ala Stafford) or via FA. That’s my prediction.
Agreed. Also depends on who is available at that time. Maybe try to do both?I agree. No risk of lost season(s) to see if the rookie is a “hit” or “miss”.
