Seems like Staff's always got a stick mark or three on that helmet too man. And that one btw is a good one.
I was saying the same thing to my buddy and son during the game yesterday!!!

I was thinking the same thing. So next years draft (this year) 1st round pick is like #31. Not much given up.
Probably got deleted for whatever the hell reason.

Unfortunately, many of US look pretty dopey.
Lol, dopey is being kind. Clueless is more accurate, including myself.
I will say in my defense, i've openly stated here that i'm not much of a QB evaluator in terms of college prospects. Furthermore, once i began to actually really pay attention and look at Stafford following the trade i was FULLY on board. Goff's entire game had slowed to a snails pace. Aggressiveness, mechanics, everything.

The upgrade became crystal clear in my eyes. I felt like the entire offense was going to improve...mostly in terms of tempo.

Re: Stafford my take on him was completely different until I actually watched Detroit's games. I suspect a lot of us were like that. I had this image in my head of a tall fat old dude cruising around doing whatever and losing games. Really weird must be the chipmunk cheeks. :laugh4:

Not to pile on here - this isn’t really directed at you personally - but it’s funny how strong of an opinion people can have about things we aren’t actually educated on. It feels like a phenomenon that transcends sports.

Oh trust. It's not deleted. I bookmarked it last year, but the posts in there....yeah (including my own). I'll let the ROD gods say if it's good to post here. Otherwise, PM me and I'll link it to ya.

I'd prefer it if you linked it in here. The other pre trade thread has already been bumped by someone and re-activated to the front page.

Pretty much agree across-the-board.

My initial ... and may I add, just BRILLIANT ... take on that thread was in response to the OP who suggested Wolford and a third round pick might get it done. I knew Detroit could recoup more than that but did not see the Rams as a viable option because of the salary-cap-ramifications.

I am very smart.

Kudos to @MachS i know we had a...disagreement (lol) recently but man he looked like to be the only one that nailed it.

I swear that day was one of those "recall exactly what you were doing" type moments. I was settling in watching a long ass Bollywood movie, and then got the push notification. Needless to say I have no idea what happened in that movie. I was pretty salty with the way the season ended, but thankfully looking back i was confident in the move. And well, here we are in January not caring about draft picks haha.

I said it then and I still think it’s true. If you believed in Goff, the trade made no sense. If you were ready to move on from Goff, it made all the sense in the world.

We have a window with Donald and Ramsey. You don’t spend that window looking for a QB or developing a rookie if you can grab a top 5-10 guy in his prime.
