Simms says that the reason McVay was mad during the first round of the draft had nothing to do with acting or the actual pick

I knew he was pissed off about something.

I thought the answers that he was acting was BS. But I could have been wrong about it. So I didn't want to argue against that.

I thought since day one that it had something to do with either a trade up or trade down that fell through. Or maybe a potential player trade that fell through before the draft.

It could have bern sonething very petty, a co-worker just saying something stupid that got under his skin. Maybe the wife called and did something he wasn't thrilled with. Maybe a friend in the league texted him and said something that irritated him. Shit happens.

Maybe he checked on the Rams On Demand board to see our reaction to the pick and a few posters pissed him off.

It’s definitely possible but man he did seem pretty pissed off and not totally in line with the atmosphere in the room. Just makes me think it was probably something football related and maybe something that they didn’t have a lot of time to plan or adjust for before the draft.

I remember that day or the day before the draft McVay's name started getting brought up again with the whole Diana Russini shit going on due to rumors of them being a fling in 2015 (before either were married or seeing current spouses) and her getting into a fistfight with another reporter due to fighting over him. Basically everyone has come out to say it was a bullshit story. But maybe he got a few pings about some of the stories popping up in social media circles that day.

In the end, who cares. He probably should have composed himself a bit better and put on a better fake smile but sometimes life pisses ya off and it's nobodies business.

The problem is pick 13 occurred well before that presser. Should have cooled down by then. He did mention that it doesn't take much for him to "get in a mood". So he may have just been reacting to something that happened just prior to the press conference. So who knows.

For those of us with children, McVay had the look on his face and in his eyes of being yelled at by his wife that he gets to go to work and be social while she is trapped at home with the kids playing mommy and sacrificing her career. This includes waking up in the middle of the night to feed the youngest.

If you don’t have children, but plan to have them, this conversation will be coming.

I tend to agree or McVay wanted Sausage on his pizza and they ordered all pepperoni.
I seriously doubt the difference between sausage and pepperoni on a pizza would make any sane, rational human being angry and despondent, as both are delicious toppings.

The only rationale answer is that someone insisted on pineapple ... in which case, who could blame McVay.

I’m betting one of the new assistants wanted pineapple or maybe one of the area scouts that covers Hawaii.
