This is a perfect time to let our young defenders "take their lumps". Durant, Kendricks, Lake, Yeast, Hardy, etc.. Nothing to lose and valuable experience to gain. Sure, it could be ugly at times but who cares? Experience is the goal.
Agreed…. Lumps and the golden opportunity for the coaches to REALLY evaluate what we have as depth.

BOTTOM LINE - Jeff Fisher getting FIRED was The Best thing The Rams ever did to hire Sean Mcvay. F - the guy. He is garbage & his last coaching gig proves it.
Wow are you serious? He pulled this team out of the gutter and at least made it respectful again. Prior to Fisher, we were a joke of a team. Fisher brought us to the 7-9 realm and McVay took us further. This comment shows the lack of awareness you have for our history. He definitely had his flaws but you got some issues calling him out like that. He definitely deserved to get fired at the end as he reached his limits with us but he did some good along the way. Guess drafting AD didn't mean shit?

Yeah Fisher wasn't a bad coach.

He could spot Defensive Talent from afar.

But he had absolutely no eye for offensive talent other than picking Gurley and maybe Goff

You see backups starting due to injuries to the starting QB's playing well enough to win. At least well enough to beat us. Cooper Rush, Colt McCoy, Andy Dalton. Then you see Brock Purdy in SF coming off the bench and play well. White in NY has done well.

Then you see the Rams with John Wolford and Bryce Perkins. Sigh...

Once we were all but eliminated from playoff contention my need to vent mostly disappeared. I would always enjoy knocking a rival out of playoff contention though but oh well. I don't want to lose by any means but at this point I'm more concerned about seeing young guys and growth. And boy did we see that from a few players yesterday (some for a few weeks now). Some optimism for a few of these players. Hoecht, Atwell, Durant, BB3, Akers, etc. Looking forward to getting a heavy dose of these guys rest of the season. I want to see Hoecht and Daniel Hardy out there rushing the passer heavily. I want to see a lot more Durant and would like to get Rochelle out there also. Now is the time to get these guys experience and see what they are made of.

But for the game... meh whatever. We win then awesome we play spoiler to some teams playoff hopes... we lose we get better draft picks. Sucks but is what it is.

Probably the last chance to win a game the rest of the year.
Well...

The Rams play

Raiders
Green Bay
Broncos
Chargers
Seattle

None of those teams are setting the world on fire right now

Seattle? We had that game won except for Morris.

Of course, Morris will probably play his soft zone defense and the other team will score over 20 points (including the Broncos who are lucky to score over 10 points). So the likelihood is we will lose each game because our back-up QBs are lucky to score 20 points in a game.

All I know is that I knew we would not win the game with Morris defense giving up chunks of yards in the last two minutes.

I really hope he finds a HC job and maybe McVay can somehow get Fangio to come be his DC
I think my dream scenario is Spanos getting impatient with Staley who is under-achieving as HC and the Rams are able to bring him back as DC.

My son just told me the it's being reported Mayfield will be released... I bet the Rams claim him or wait until he clears and sign him. They are 3rd on the waiver claim list, but not sure the financial ramifications of a claim.

In any event if it were to happen he at least can get the ball the WRs so we can evaluate them.

I'd only claim him so the Whiners don't get a QB with experience although he sucks anyways hahahaha

Not quite - Kupp has been his biggest supporter.
I thought it was Jalen RAMsey saying he would love to play for Raheem Morris the rest of his career.

If your talking Tutu Atwell then your correct.Nice to see him making plays.

I’m pissed of the defense not being able to stop teams from scoring TD’s after the offense has the lead in the last minute of games to lose.

Stat’s my be for losers, but giving up TD’s like The Rams have are because of a LOSING COACH.

You can’t blame the offense when The D’ has a chance to close it out.
Maybe not having Von Miller late in games was the difference?

Probably the last chance to win a game the rest of the year.
Great efforts from Atwell , Powell , Akers wasted by our terrible defense. Not sure why Wagner decided to play his ass off today after 11 weeks of showing nothing.
I like Ramsey , but he’s not worth the cost. Guys like him are supposed to make big plays that actually win games. Not happening
Been saying all year that the defense is just as bad as the offense with injuries. The core of the defense has played together all season and keeps getting worse.
Same thing every week.
You would think they could muster one messily stop to win a game.
Does anyone else notice how stupid our edge blitzes are ?
If you have no chance at getting to the QB , get your fucking hands up and try to tip the ball.
5 or 6 times yesterday , they kept running at Geno and he lobbed it over their head. That’s either lack of decent coaching or lack of football skills. That’s taught in pee wee ball.
Stop and get your damn hands up.
It never happens. Besides Ramsey, does anyone on the backend have type of football IQ ?
I really like Scott , but he couldn’t cover my grandma in a narrow hallway.
Kendrick’s is just plain bad.
You can see it coming every time he’s in a bad match up. Of course he’s overmatched by anyone that ha goes against. Put his ass on the pine or back on the bus. Try someone else. Could it be any worse than watching him blow it every week ? I doubt it.
There’s no quick fix with these same guys.
Bottom line is WTF happened ?
This defense makes average qbs look like all pros.. it’s sickening to watch. I hate the scheme, it’s almost like prevent defense all the time. I would love to see a more aggressive scheme in the future. Andy Dalton Colt McCoy Geno Smith.. and mean cmon. Make a damn adjustment.. its a slow painful death. Im pretty sure Mariota had his best statistical game of the year against us. Very painful.

They really should have kept going to Tutu.
Probably different positions in the offense but I would like to see Tutu on the field all the time going forward this year, if that means taking snaps from Skow, so be it.
Tutu has shown ability to run routes, get open and good hands.
Running him on those crossers and stuff besides go routes and he can win those battles.
That said, I want to see more deep shots with him.

No I am talking about Kupp the poster being his biggest supporter and was targeting Ram Forum posters.

Not going into who on the Rams likes Morris or not.

No way to really know that.

I *think* he was going to Tutu who had about 3 yards on his defender on the post route. Wolford underthrew him by about 12 yards

Lewis was starting by default.

Fuller hasn't been a regular starter since late last yr.

I did mention Robinson in a follow up message and I forgot about Hill.

However, by NFL stds their defense has been fairly healthy most of the yr. It's been nothing like the offense in terms of injuries. Yet the offense handed the D the lead once again late and they couldn't even hold the Seahawks to a FG on the last drive.
Lewis was the starter. They dumped Hollins.. and had no one else. What are you saying here?

Fuller is the starter at the position. He's injured. A new injury after playing this year. No one beat him for the position.
Yeah.. you left out two starters.

I'm sorry.. the.. "yeah, but.. " just doesn't fly.

Yep.. they blew the game yesterday.. we can debate how much was scheme and how much was execution.. you know what won't change? They lost.

Jeff Fisher Was HORRIBLE.

A LOSER!! He got how many draft picks for RG111 pick. He stunk.

He also LIED to ST’.LoUIS FANS about the move. He is a pure LOSER &
Couldn’t win even in a bad league.’

I saying what I believe & HATE Fisher.
Not having a winning season as a Rams HC with all the talent he had was Ridiculous!!

If you want to phrase Les Snead,I’m right with you in bring talent to The Rams.

Kevin Demoff has seemed to have phased himself away from player decision & settling in on his position.

The Rams would be LOSERS still with Jeff Fisher IMO - anyone that want to disagree can,but to see his name on a post as anything else I will quote & disagree.

I will leave this post & not reply again about it because Jeff Fisher to me WILL ALWAYS BE A LOSER!! I put my money in believing in him. He only got worse. He had all the TALENT in the World. Cutting Nick Foles showed how bad The Rams we’re in judgment at QB.
