The defense is missing one starter...Donald. A big loss, but for crissakes they showed once again their late drive passive defense prevents wins.
Incorrect on the one starter missing.

No.. I don't.
I act like he's what he is.. the Rams DC and I've watched this defense.
You act like the Falcons had any defensive personnel last year. They didn't.
You act like the Rams don't have major limitations because of personnel this year. They do.

He' ain't great.. but when he's had the personnel, he's been very good. That's all I know.

If you think Vic Fangio is going to turn *this* bunch of players into a top 5 D, good for you. I don't think you'll find many people who watch the NFL closely who'll agree with you.
not sure what falcons def personnel from last year has to do with anything.

I agree there are some holes in personell for sure.. but i also do not think morris best spot is def coordinator.

But its also on mcvay because this soft shit is prob what he wanted.

Eh, every loss is just another one among many. So now we look at what positives we can take out of this for next season. I will say I was impressed with Tutu Atwell. He's got speed to burn. His hands are much better than I thought. If Stafford is healthy all next year Tutu will be that legit deep threat they need.

Hoecht & Powell looked good also.

Who said this? McKay or McVay:

"We didn't tackle well today but we made up for it by not blocking."

Ok...yeah Robinson is out too... otherwise, for week 12, they are very healthy. Every team has a few guys out.

The offense has up to 12-15 guys out if you want a comparison.

doubt wolford is back next year... he did enough to give us the lead with 3 min left however.

neither of our back up qbs has a strong enough arm.

I think Hoecht can be a rotation guy. He seems to have one move at the moment. He tries bulling his man. His outside move is non-existent because he doesn't have a burst. But his motor is high. Maybe he can be an effort sack guy in rotation I think. Until he can learn some technique. And I like that he's thicker.

Powell is becoming a utility player for us. Tutu is starting to show up. Cam ran with a little more attitude than we’ve seen this year….

Oh….And prevent D still prevents win.

That fucking pass-defense. If it was a horse, we'd fucking shoot it.

As it is, I may shoot myself...

Same guy who said this :

"Emotion is highly overrated in football. My wife Corky is emotional as hell but can't play football worth a damn."

McKay is the answer.

Wolford has any kind of arm and we very likely win this game. Didn't expect a win coming in and am not upset about a loss. Good to see some of the younger guys doing well though.
Regardless, they got the lead and the defense couldn't even hold them to a FG on the last drive.

Run D seems top 5.

Pass D average, at best.

When was the last time this soft, pass happy offense gained +170 yards on the ground at +5 a pop? Imagine Stafford with that kind of running game.

Well boys, the Chargers lost today and are now 6 - 6. Hopefully they enter into a free fall (much like our Rams...) and Staley gets the axe and he ends up back with us as our DC. I'm also hoping that Morris gets an HC job somewhere but even if he doesn't he can go replace Deion Sanders at Jackson State.
Just move on outta here.....

Well here's more shitty news. I think the retirement talk is a real possibility depending upon how much it's affecting him. No cure for this type of injury. Hope I'm wrong and he recovers fully from this.

Overall, I think we have to applaud the team for playing as well as they did. That being said, how many effing times in a row are we gonna play super soft and allow a game-winning drive. Adjust to the personal you have man!

The play that best summarizes the plight with our defense is the long completion to Metcalf with Kendrick on an island. If that was the call then the DC needs to be fired. I presume it was not the call, though, given that the safety over the top was Rapp and of course he was floating around with this thumb in his ass vice breaking on the situation. But either way how many times will Rapp be allowed to fuck this defense. It is beyond ridiculous now and coaching is part of that equation simply by starting him.

They could easily sit Rapp, move Ramsey to safety instead and have him play deep. Pair him with Yeast. Corners go with Hill and Durant outside the hash, and Kendrick in the slot. Our defense would be tons better because Ramsey would adjust to safety and at least be able to know when to break on a situation to help a corner who is outgunned one on one.

But I am not angry about this game because I didn't expect to win it. Seattle is not a bad team. We are a bad team. The issue is mostly players but it's no surprise to me that certain position groups are the ones stepping up and there's a lot of coaches on this staff who need to look in the mirror.

DL being the key example there. They are missing guys but guess what, they played a hell of a game. They have a DT at Edge, no Donald, and depth up there taking key snaps. Coaching had them ready and executing well enough to keep us in the game though. Nice job by the DL coaching group and in fact it's high fucking time that Henderson got an offseason promotion because he's that coach who routinely has his unit playing balls out.

I have to give Wolford credit. He played pretty well and lasted through the game. Atwell is coming on now that he is getting to play.
The defense lost another game for us. No excuse for that. Period!
We can't expect to score thirty plus points just to have a chance to win, no matter who is playing on offense!

Hoecht registered three combined tackles, two sacks, and a tackle for loss. Hoecht continuously generated pressure.

Appears much more than a Rotational defender IMO.
