The little wuss didn't have the balls to stay in the best division in football, the NFC West.

Personally, I think this is a great trade for Seattle. I think Wilson has lost a step, and it makes him easier to defend.
Really have to love the way the division sets up for the Rams

Or this

I don't know where Corral is going but I'd move up for him if necessary. He's a tough, competitive SOB at QB. Dude is a stud.

Another smart direction for them. Lockett has some value so get him moved for a pick and commence a line rebuild. That's what I'd be doing if I'm that GM. I'd load that DL up to eat the Rams and SF OL's and fix the interior of the OL to hold up to AD and the rest of this division's defensive fronts.
If they don’t screw up the picks
Agree
Call me crazy, but Wilson’s best days are way past now. Seattle made out like bandits in this trade. They can thank the Rams and the Stafford trade.
I hope petey keeps making the picks and wastes them like he has the past several years.
I agree. Russ has not been as elusive lately. If you wanted a QB who do you trade for: Wilson or Stafford?

I take Stafford easily. Plus the Rams paid less to get him.

I think the Broncos overpaid but that’s what it took so they had little choice.

I just went to the store here in Colorado Springs (wearing my Super Bowl hat), I over heard about 4 conversations with the Broncos Winning Super Bowl LVII. One guy noticed my hat and asked what I thought. I told him point blank the trade turns the NFC West into the AFC East from 2001-2018. He looked puzzled. I told him with only one quality qb in the division and talent across the board it just locks the Rams into the playoffs. Add a few home field games & FA signings every year for the next 5. He shrugged and agreed. I asked him who he roots for, sure enough a 49er fan. He said his team got fleeced for Lance and the Cardinals are a joke. But he said he was pleased with the trade. I asked why, he grew up in Seattle and hates them more than the Rams.

This feeling of always winning in 2022 just needs to never end!

Until the Seahawks show that they can draft (and they certainly haven't), I don't see this as a difference-making deal for them.

Wilson validated this trade immediately. The sheer thought of only one game against AD this up coming season is 1 more week of sleep he thought he’d lose this season!

Unless they luck into another Wilson, they will be bottom dwellers for 5-10 years.

This will spell the end for Pete in 2 years

This trade sucks for the Rams.
The Rams had Wilson's number with Seattle.. I just always felt good about playing against him. I don't know who the Seahawks get.. but they replenished a shit ton of draft power AND got some good players. I worry about them more with a reboot and "no one believes in us" mindset than I did with Russell. Oh, well.

Probably means the Rams lose Von. That SUCKS.... I'd make the trade every day, knowing what he meant to the Super Bowl. But, for roster building.. you gave up a 2nd and 3rd and most you can get back in compensation is a 5th.

AND.. if you go after an FA who wasn't released.. or before June... you have that count against you in the comp formula. Sucks.

And.. you now have to face Von AND Wilson with a team with a good line.

Sucks all around.

I hope everyone loses in this trade. Wilson sucks, Seattle can't find a competent QB for the next 3 decades, and both are at the bottom of their divisions. I can wish.

There's only one gangster in the NFL. and that's Les Snead

Why does everyone think this means Von is a goner? He has a house in LA. He says playing with AD is like Shaq and Kobe. He recruited Odell, he loves the coaching staff and the way things are done in LA. Plus he won a Super Bowl in LA.

He has no idea if Hackett will be a good coach. He liked Fangio but he is gone.

Denver is his home. Denver's taxes are lower.
Denver now has a legit QB.

I'm not saying he's gone, but this greatly changes the equation AND Denver can probably go higher with the contract.

Harris and Fant are both beasts. Watch them regularly here in Colorado. Lock has journeyman skill set. Likely a career backup soon.

Fant would be an All Pro TE with a decent QB. Sadly, he’ll lose a few more years if his career in an inept offense.

Wrigley Chewing gum will get a boost in sales from Pete‘s nerves as they go 3-14 this next season.
I agree on Fant, however, with some durability concerns. Drafting a QB this year, not good, so the Hawks will have to hope for an improved crop in 2023. Also agree on the record, I figure they will keep Carroll on a few more years, then part ways when the team is ready to contend again, but that might not be for a very long time.

I could be missing something on Hackett, but I don't feel good about him being a Head Coach. As OC at Syracuse, Buffalo & Jacksonville, he's had checkered success, but Wilson might make him better as a play caller. Again, I was shocked he was hired and soon we are about to find out.

How does that midget in Denver make them instant contenders??? He’s not the wussel of 5 years ago.

I think he just wants to experience being courted for the first time in his career. I still think he comes back.
