DB Russ Yeast: Projects as a backup zone CB in this defense. At 5'10" and 192 lbs, running a 4.58 in the 40 he screams average DB. He could play safety or CB but regardless he's a zone DB. He's got enough speed and length to close on the pass and perhaps make a play on the ball. That said he really needs a lot of work on his tackling as too many seem to slip his arms which are of average length. What I've seen in his clips is a DB who plays with his eyes and his head, i.e. Russ plays smart. If there is a player to surprise Yeast could be it. If he can absorb quickly what he's going to be coached and takes that next step up Russ could easily replace David Long in his reps. I think that is who he is looking upon replacing next year.
