If we pick in the teens I would not mind seeing a trade down (as Alt and Olanshu would be gone) in the first and select Cooper Beebe (G) and Sedrick Van Pran (C) with our first 2 picks. I think we get an edge rusher and CB in free agency and thus freeing us to address our line. Watched the Georgia-Missouri game last week and exclusively watched Van Pran. He does not give an inch to anyone, pass pro was flawless and easily gets to the next level on run plays. He is EXACTLY what we need and between him, Avila and Beebe would anchor this line for years, think Pilly.

Unless we’re getting a can’t miss stud LOT, Edge or QB - I’d also be very interested in trading back and getting an extra pick. More chances in 20-45 range is better than one in 8-20 range.

Yeah, high draft pick always come with a risk of failure or not living up to expectations. Latu has been extremely impressive and hey let's relieve Kupp of some of those routes it may extend his career
Yeah. All picks carry a risk of failure. But with a high 1st rounder, I'd hope the Rams do whatever it took to lower those chances when there are known medical concerns.

Most would disagree, but if the Rams selected Bowers, methinks probably should trade Kupp and his upcoming $30 million cap number.

If they keep a high pick, I'm lean towards Alabama EDGE Dallas Turner.

Trading Kupp has to be something they consider either way IMO. Nuka and Tutu where tearing it up the 1st 4 games. Now, Tutu is invisible, even if he might be the deadliest weapon on the field at any given time.

Yeah, I'm higher on Turner then Latu. Verse has to be in the conversation also IMO.

Jer'Zhan Newton has to be in the conversation as well, if we deal Donald to another team like, say, Pittsburgh. He's arguably the best 3-tech I've seen since AD.

I wouldn't trade Kupp for a guy like Tutu. I'd keep Kupp and trade Tutu. Then draft a WR with wheels who is smart enough to grasp the scheme.

Trading Kupp hits the Rams with a 27 mill dead cap hit, why do folks want to give away what little cap room the Rams have?

Do you think most posters realize that 30% of the Rams' 2023 salary cap space is allocated to Allen Robinson, Jalen Ramsey, Leonard Floyd, Bobby Wagner and Andrew Whitworth ... four players possibly headed to the playoffs and a TV personality.

And while we all dream of cap space in '24, based on an expected increase to 240 mill, the Rams seem to be in good shape with the 12th most available space.
However, a deeper dive also shows that the Rams have the 2nd least amount of players under contract (35) so that available cap space is merely a mirage

Man this takes me back - talking draft at the halfway point of a season. It’s been a while

Tell me about it. I already have a list of draft prospects at Edge, CB, OT and QB; and a preliminary list of potential free agent Edge and Cornerbacks ... Big Fun! ... big FUCKING fun.

He's got a $29,780 cap number in 2024 on the roster.
Correct ... per both Over-the-Cap and Spotrac ... but if the Dead-$ exceeds that number, there is no savings.

Dead-$ varies depending upon whether the player is traded or released, and when it occurs (pre/post June 1).

If Over-the-Cap is accurate, and the Rams trade Kupp before June 1 ... presumably for 2024 draft choices,
the Rams get only $2.7M of cap savings, with $27M of Dead-$ ... the total is the above noted $29,780,000

If Kupp was traded after June 1 ... so any draft choices the Rams acquire would have to be for 2025,
the Rams would get $20M of cap savings, with $9.78M of Dead-$ ... again the total is the same $29,780,000

Trade down to mid first round.
Get NIX
Pick up an LT in the second round with one of your two second round picks. Then BPA.

Saying the picks don't matter and going all in is one thing. At least that got us a Super Bowl. But the mismanagement of multiple pricy contracts handed out to players soon to be given away is just painful.

Like who ?? I’d say the best draft pick wise with Sean Mcvay was 2020.

Where are all those 2020 draft picks. The 1 player was a early 7th for 2 7th rd picks & cost me ROD DOLLARS to Bubbaram say The Rams wouldn’t go offensive line.

We should be picking somewhere in the top ten. Maybe top 5. But dammit! Arizona will be the reason we're playing a 3rd place schedule next year instead of last. Again.
Virtually no difference in those schedules.
