recently re-watched Sling Blade. Certainly one of my favorites.

Oddly enough my wife and I also re-watched that for the first time in almost 2 decades. It took FOREVER to find it. Ended up watching it on some random app (Red Coral?). Worked great though, and somehow NO ads!!

8/10 for the movie. Easily BBT's best work.

It was difficult to find, likely due to it being an indie. I found it on Fandango.

Bob Hope double feature

Bob Hope is probably my all time favorite entertainer

We watched two of his movies I've never seen before

Sorrowful Jones , also staring Lucille Ball and William Demarest , , Bob Hope plays a NY bookie on horse races , and of course the mob is involved , , some guy comes in to place a bet but is short a few bucks , so he leaves his 4 year old daughter as collateral, but never returns , so Bob is now stuck with this 4 year old girl , Lucille Ball is an old love interest that helps out Bob , and well , you can probably figure out the rest , this is a little toned down for Bob and Lucy , as far as screw ball comedies are involved , the classic Bob Hope one liners are there , just a little more suddle , overall this was a pretty good movie ,

Give Me A Sailor , also staring Martha Raye and Betty Grable , Martha Raye actually had top billing in this movie , one of Bob first full length movies , if anyone is familiar with 1940s romantic comedies, this is one of them , two guys , two girls who figure out they're in love with the wrong person, a very by the numbers romantic comedy, this is a very likable movie , just doesn't stick out from a hundered other movies just like it

Two movies I remember watching when I was in high school , but haven't seen since

Both are your typical 80s screwball comedies

Up The Creek was disappointing , not as funny as I remembered it to , some recognizable faces , Tim Matheson and Stephen Furst from Animal House , movie about a raft race up The Creek , where everyone is trying to sabotage the other , typical 80s humor , but this one is just stupid , and not in a good way

One Crazy Summer was better , still stupid , but a better stupid, I gave it a 7/10 because of the cast , anyone familiar with 80s comedies will recognize just about single person in this movies , the leads are like John Cusack , Demi Moore , Bobcat Goldthawait , Joel Murray , Curtis Armstrong and about a hundred other faces you'll reconize,not the best 80s comedy , but probably still gets chuckle or two out of it

That scene with Bobcat Goldthawait in the Godzilla costume in One Crazy Summer still cracks me up.

One of the funniest scenes I have ever seen.
