I agree that Mamula is a perfect person to play Kraven the Hunter. He may have been one of the worst to play Aquaman. DC blew a chance to outdo Marvel for once.

When I mentioned DC and Marvel copying each other, I was referring to comic book characters. They have been doing it for decades. If one comes up with a successful hero the other soon copies it. At least they didn't do it with their main stars. But even the Justice League and The Avengers is Copycatting. Dark side and Thanos, Quicksilver and Flash, Black Panther and Cheetah, Dr Who and Dr Fate, I know that I am missing a lot.

I was always a Marvel fan. The main reason was because their comics were better illustrated. Some of the DC characters didn't even have pronounced musculature until the 90' or later. I was a kid in the 70's and 80's. Back then The Flash was a string bean. The Fantastic Four and Batman weren't any better. Adam West wasn't much of a departure from the old Batman. It's ashame because recently I have learned more about DC and in many cases I think they had the better stories. But, reading the comics was secondary for me back in the day. I really just liked to draw them. I would look for the ones that had the best graphics, then I would copy them. I think got pretty good at copying their art. It's how I learned to draw.

John Romita, Sr. , Alex Ross , and Ross Andru were some of my earliest memories , but it was John Byrne's work on the X-Men that really gave me the WOW factor , then came Todd McFarlane , Jim Lee and Rob Liefeld , along with other in the late 80's that really set the industry a blaze , and a whole new crop of artist

I don't ready comics much anymore , The only comic I read now regularly is Amazing Spider-man , I have a monthly mail subscription , all of the rest of my comic book knowledge now days come from Google and Wikipedia...............lol

I am watching Godless. It is a miniseries on Netflix. Western theme, well done, authentic, Jeff Daniels is the villian. He is great in this role. Last episode to go but it's a 9/10 for me without even seeing the ending.

Best damn thing I have watched this year.
Stranger Things 2 might be right up there also...

There was a couple of slow-paced parts but overall much better than I thought it would be.

I don't read many comics these days either -- but I have been enjoying the Marvel movies -- the technology has finally caught up with what the great artists of the sixties-nineties could imagine on the page - I was a Spidey fan as a kid too but my favorite artist was John Buscema.

His run on the Avengers in the late eighties was awesome.

Infinity War - 10/10.

It's really a 8/10 but because there was no sappy love interest 5 minute moments infecting the movie I had to bump it up to 10. Also they kept the corny jokes during combat to a minimum. They learnt their lesson from the disappointing 2nd avenger movie.

I rarely go to the theater to watch a movie... but I'm very glad I went to see A Quiet Place yesterday. Don't wait for this one. It's not like anything else you've ever seen.

Infinity War 10/10

Came out of the theatre and wanted to go right back in and see it again. Shit was complete insanity. Loved it! First movie Ive seen in a theatre since the force awakens. Was well worth it.

Black Panther - 6/10 it was boring. There was way less action than I expected and it made for a slow movie. Parts of the Avengers was very slow and ended with a big splash. This didn't have that good of a big splash, memorable ending. I almost hated it as far as Superhero movies go. And, Black Panther was one of my favorite comics when I was young. It was so dedicated on developing the character and setting up the background to use in Avengers that it felt almost like a documentary to me.

Wonder Woman - 7/10. Way overhyped, but still a good movie. I just have trouble with the Superheroes winning WWII storyline. It's why I didn't get into Captain America either. I've never liked her name. Wonder Woman sounds so corny. But, it was well produced. The story was interesting enough to make me want to see it all the way through. Gal Gadot is overrated. I just can't get past her sloping forehead. I don't know why but it really bothers me.

Thor Ragnarok - 7/10. I wanted to love this one so badly. Thor was my favorite Superhero. I have more Thor comic books than any other. But Thor movies just keep coming up short for me and it's hard to pinpoint why. But this one felt like it was just slapped together as exciting filler while they worked to get Avengers Infinity out. Adding Hulk to a Thor movie in Ragnarok was all for excitement and humor. It made me laugh a bit. The laid back rock guy was very funny. Having Hulk say more than Hulk Smash was better. He actually talked, like in the comics. The story was interesting, the cgi was good. The villain was just too powerful. She was ridiculously powerful. It was too lopsided for my liking, but toward the end the heroes were holding their own, until she was too powerful again. I wasn't into the villain at all. Surtur was cool though. Loved him and Loki too. Loki is the best actor in all of these movies IMO. The Valkyrie role was a miss for me too. Why has Michelle Rodriguez suddenly become the blueprint character for tough strong fighting women? I know it wasn't her but it may as well have been. That character was better toward the end of the movie, though. Playing Led Zepplin Land of Ice and Snow was a great battle song in the finale. But here is the part that I didn't like at all; Jeff Goldblum. I freaking hate Jeff Goldblum and he played a big part in this movie. He doesn't know how to act, he is just his annoying smug self in every film. His best role was The Fly, because it didn't have his stuttering slapstick tired comedy bits in it. The next thing you know is John Lithgow will be in Marvel movies too.



I think that these Marvel Superhero movies are bringing in so much money that Hollywood cannot crank them out fast enough. They seem to put a lot of effort into intro movies, but not as much work into sequels. I am glad they at least prioritize The Avengers series.

gave it a few extra tenths for the movie having a sense of humor that i get. it is equal to the first movie while being different in a good way. definitely worth watching. although i watched it on an ultra screen viewing, i dont think its necessary or would take away from the movie. the best part is deadpool tells you the ending at the beginning of the movie and it doesnt matter. the first movie was really good for having a unique "superhero". the sequel is really good because it no longer employs that uniqueness, but is still just as much fun to watch. about a 2 minute easter egg after the ending and an odd sing a long at the end of the credits. just go see it.

Deadpool 2

Liked it , didn't love it

I like the first one better , but this one still had a lot of laughs , as I mentioned to my wife , I think I heard the women in the theater laughing louder then the men

The story it self was a classic comic book story used many times , so nothing new there

I think my favorite part saw Domino , I'm ready for a Domino solo movie ,

Josh Brolin , loved him as Thanos , but as Cable , not so much , not that he did a bad job , just not who I would have cast as Cable , to short for one thing , which they do mention in the movie...............lol

My biggest disappointment was Juggernaut , I had been hearing rumors for a while that Juggernaut was going to be in the movie , Juggernaut was always my favorite X-Men villain , so I was pretty excited , and hopeful they would get him right , unlike what ever that was suppose to be in X-Men 3 The Last Stand , and I knew to do Juggernaut right , it would have to be full CGI , and for todays movie , I thought the CGI on Juggernaut was pretty poor , and how they defeated him , well , that was just stupid , Even though he actually looked the part , I thought he was totally wasted in this movie

But over all , I still give the movie a 8/10 , I still enjoyed it , had some pretty funny stuff in it
