I been saying all offseason this was going to happen but even i will admit i thought we’d get back a much better return.

Anybody got the money we save on the cap by chance?

Not even all that much cap space saved. That is the worst part. Rmasey had no guaranteed money left after this season. Why not just hold on 1 more year, and cut them after? Not like we got notable assets back anyway by moving on early?

Same with Floyd. Timing of the cut made no sense.

If anything, with a weak NFC, why not keep the gang together for one more year, see what we look like with hopefully a healthy OL and some free agency/draft additions, and re-assess at the trade deadline, if we want to be buyers or sellers?

Snead is so obsessed with trying to be "ahead of the curve". First to use the "F them picks" model. Now I am sure he wants credit for being "quick to recognize mistakes and move on" and making that his new mantra. How about you take some time to think things through before acting, for once, and make less mistakes in the first place?

I bet if Snead worked his "magic", he could probably get a 4th rounder for Aaron Donald

Young legs? You seen the d-backs the Rams have drafted lately? Good lord. Rams paid 20 mill in dead cap to replace him with a 3rd round pick. I get it that you have bias against the player but this is a tragically awful trade
This is a separate problem. It is fair to point out we have fucked up our corner picks, just like we have with OL, but both must be addressed in the draft this year for the rebuild to be quick.

I am in a very small group who thinks this trade was wise. I still feel that way. Don't mind others feeling it's a big mistake, to each his own. But this time next year people will feel the move was made at the right time.

As to the compensation I am a little disappointed. I wanted a round 2 pick. But this was a salary dump for the Rams so that cut into the value. Now we get to see if they can use the resources correctly to get back on track. To me that is preferable to having a declining and overpaid vet who blames those around him for his shortfalls.
