Stafford's back was the reason why all of the experts diminished the Rams chances this year. Two games, two wins and Stafford looks good. The few stories out there about the latest win do not mention Stafford's back that much, if at all. IF McVay would have went for that last TD, I bet there would be more stories about the team this morning, but Sean is a sportsman that doesn't like to rub the loser's face in the loss.
They all will expect the Rams to be handled the Iggles. If we win, there will be stories next week about how the Iggles just had a bad game.

Interesting to hear the PFF show talk about Cam and winning from the pocket. I think this is a really important element that is not discussed enough in QB evaluation. Cam made plays for the most part when he was free of the pocket yesterday. He's not a QB that I would say cannot be a pocket QB, in fact during the game they discussed how Cam sees himself as a pocket QB so I expect he's going to succeed at this level. But for a rookie QB when you are contained in that pocket with a rush of the quality the Rams have, it's gonna be terrifying. Much easier to get outside of it and maybe breathe a bit and see the field better.

In today's NFL it's great to be able to off sched. It's great to be able to pick up chains with your legs. But as it pertains to winning in the playoffs a QB needs to be able to deal from the protections of that pocket in order to beat the best defenses. Because there will be a team or two in your way that have the fronts who can contain and crush your ass and get you off your game otherwise.

And on the flipside of all that is the DL production and general ability to contain in today's league. It is critical. Pressure alone is not enough. Some QBs are going to be a lot more dangerous if you give them lanes to run. And most of those QBs when contained are a completely different threat. The greats can beat you inside or out. But you can eliminate those other QBs with a strong contain capability.

Rams need to work on this. Their front is lawless as fuck when it comes to staying in their lanes and controlling those exits. And I don't knock them for their desire to eat the QB, I love it in fact but holy fuck there are times where you gotta contain and that lesson is going to be relearned vs Philly if they don't prepare accordingly.
