Let's be honest. Salesmen are bullshitters. Their job is to sell you something whether you want it or not. And what's the best way for good old boys to bullshit/shoot the bull? With a drink in their hand!!! Sounds like Puka ain't the only guy in the Rams organization who should lay off the liquor!!!!!!
Hey!!! I resemble that description lol

Since McVay has taken over, I have felt that the Rams are the best run organization in the NFL, and have created an incredible team culture.

This (if true) is very worrying. I hope that this has been addressed.

This has nothing to do with McVay or team culture.
This is upstair executive stuff. McVay has no control over this and probably didn't know about
until later.

If true, those responsible should and hopefully will be shown the door very quickly.

Sales department?
Yeah, the claims all make sense.

Just confirming it's sales, this allegation from her complaint:
Plaintiff was a high-performing, long-tenured employee who consistently delivered exceptional results, including season ticket renewal rates of approximately 98-99%, and was regarded as one of the top performers in her department.

From the article:

"The dispute arose from a lawsuit filed by Brittany Todd against the Rams. She claims that her March 10, 2026 termination happened after she complained that her immediate supervisors were consuming alcohol during work hours “to the point of extreme intoxication,” that they coerced subordinate employees to consume alcohol, that they berated employees “to an abusive level” after becoming intoxicated, and that they berated employees for their religious views."

If true, it's crazy that while working, consuming alcohol to the point of extreme intoxication and the rest—salespeople or not how could they get away with this. I'm not getting in the alcohol debate. That's a personal choice provided you don't hurt others.

I have to wonder what time they worked? Were they partying at events? Not since High School have I tried to influence someone to drink. It has nothing to do with the football side of the Rams. It's not a good look for the organization.

Who here has made their numbers by 3pm and not cracked one (or more) open?
What's wrong with some pre-drinking drinking at 4:50 pm while "working" . . . or maybe 1 pm?

I crack one open when I get up to down my handful of meds....

Why’s it so damned hard for some people to just be fucking professional?

Don’t get sloppy drunk on the job and blast subordinates for their religious views. That’s just basic ‘be an adult’ and ‘don’t be an asshole’ shit.

Seriously, if true, how is this even a discussion???

I was raised around alcoholics and I have zero tolerance. Don’t drink, either (granted, it feels like battery acid going down, so no amount of “flavor” could make me enjoy it).

Just sayin’, it’s beyond ridiculous in 2026 that we still have assholes finding any excuse to do juvenile shit like this…like grow the fuck up, already. If some asshole needs to drink to excess and talk shit about their coworkers, do it at home where they already know that someone is an asshole.

Again, if true, but at first blush, it sure seems true and this is on Demoff. From top to bottom, this organization is too classy and has worked too hard to shed the shitty culture of the Frontiere years to have ANYONE behave like this.

This is a story that makes sense as a Cowboys story, not a Rams story. We have more class than this.

And I could see it being a good ole boy department. Salesmen are a different breed from other departments that exist in today's environment. At least where I have worked in the past.

If anyone talked like that to a woman in every other department for every company I have worked, they would either get an immediate suspension or fired.
There’s the other side.
Women now dominate the work place. They are no longer expected to stay home and nurse. That tired cliche has been dead for a long time.

Try being a manager and getting rough (verbally) with a female employee. Your ass is in HR—you’re fired if she pursues it further.
If the tables are turned, “she’s just tough. It’s her way.”

Been there.

Nearly every company starts ALL employees at a same given rate.
How you rise is different. That’s a story for another day.

The idea that women are short changed in the workplace is bullshit. They have the advantage and is why managers prefer women to be the assistant managers and supervisors. It’s the layer of protection.

It’s the cowardly way men run a large business. They give their agenda to their myrmidons and create a barrier between you and the REAL decision making. It works better if that go between is female.

Having said all that, bad behavior and unprofessional attitude is counterproductive and merits repercussions. I just didn’t want this to turn into another crying jag for women’s rights in the workplace. Trust me, they’re doing just fine.

I wasn't saying anything about women's rights. I was just talking about how salesmen are a different breed than every other guy in the workforce.

Sales people drink with clients all of the time especially when trying to land a big fish. You'd be surprised how hard they party. This is someone looking for a payday or is oblivious to the status quo of her industry

I have worked in beer for over 30 years. Sometimes it's my job to consume alcohol when I am at an event, trade show, or dinner with clients. I never get intoxicated on the job. I treat everyone with respect and give each individual the attention they deserve. I'm polite. I remember things about people families, hobbies, and beer interests. Be the professional in the room. If this is true, get rid of all of them.

Yeah but youre not selling to LA rich kids 100s if thousands of dollars in PSL fees alone. I mean these clients are far and wide when it comes to personalities and how they enjoy themselves.

So let them get drunk. Close the sale professionally.

Unfortunately youre at the mercy of those rich 24 year olds who love strippers and booger sugar
You are making assumptions without any facts. It doesn't sound like a person looking for a payday.

I totally get it. My point was something antiquated and SOP is what it is. She knew the game she was playing and cried foul when it suited her. Seriously, drunken horny salesmen didn’t help her at some point?

You are 100% correct in that many deals and working relationships in sales are handled this way.

If the job isn’t for you anymore, move on. That decision is made by people everywhere
