I think they went the former. From that standpoint- solid pick because that’s exactly what they are getting Day 1.

At first I felt it was a reach, but can't say that with the run on QBs.

We needed a QB, and I trust McVay. I do think Bennett has some magic to him, and he definitely wouldn't be the first player that people had pegged wrong

Plus you know Bennett looks up to Stafford. Dude is going to be a sponge absorbing whatever he can get as Stafford's #2. I like the pick. He's miles above Wolford and Perkins.

There is no chance Bennett is ever starter material.

We might as well have picked up a teams late QB cut as they whittled it down to 53.

That's probably how much production we'll get out of this guy if we need to use him.

There's some picks at 4 that could have contributed as rotational cornerback or safety or defensive lineman.

I absolutely LOOOOVE this pick. I'm a huge Bennett fan. Dude has a much better arm than given credit for. He's got mobility, can really zip the ball, shows up in the biggest moments and full of swagger and confidence.

Lol, I had a very distinct feeling that we’d draft him but didn’t want to post about it because I didn’t really want to… especially with our 4th. But oh well, the Stafford/Georgia connection might be a good influence for him. Like others I am ok with pick just wish it was with a later one.
