Add Zach Moss to Henderson and Brown and we got a damned good backfield. We are Going to mentally have to adjust of not have one premiere back. With the Rams grace of backs over the decades I know It’ll be tough to do.
Evans is the second player from Appalachian State who has attracted the Rams’ interest. Evans adds plenty of production in both the running game and pass receptions. But the Rams may be giving Evans a look at the special team’s return specialist for 2020. He is incredibly versatile, super speedy, and would be a great addition to the team in multiple ways.I’m told Appalachian State RB and @footballCudas grad Darrynton Evans met formally with the Vikings, Rams and Colts at the #NFLCombine. He’s also spoken to the 49ers, Raiders, Ravens and Texans.

The Ute was surprisingly adept and productive on offense. He has been compared to Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt, a forceful runner who breaks tackles routinely. The only drawback to Moss is the observation with too many carries he will tire. But the Rams have Henderson and Brown, who would happily add Moss to work among a committee. That seems to be exactly what the Rams are aiming at for the running back in 2020.As Utah’s Zack Moss readies for on-field stuff at the Combine later today, per source, he has met with 12 teams this week in Indy.
Rams, Packers, Chiefs, Bills, Chargers, Seahawks, Colts, Texans, Saints, Steelers, Cardinals, Lions.

I think Moss would instantly become our premier back if they draft him. Hendy would be the change of pace guy. And I'd be happy btw, but I suspect the Rams are going to prioritize the modern balanced type backs who can threaten in the passing game.Add Zach Moss to Henderson and Brown and we got a damned good backfield. Not following.
the RFA process is pretty clear.
they tendered him with 2nd round designation. Gives them right to match offer sheet or they lose player but receive the 2nd round comp.
I think only way they could trade him for less would be by matching the offer sheet and then trading him.
Or if nobody signs him to offer sheet, they can trade him (I assume similar to franchise rules that there is short window for extension or he can’t sign new deal until new league year)
You PAC 12 followers... What do you think of Joshua Kelly from UCLA?
Looks like he would be a great fit for this offense based on some of the highlights I watched. More impressive than Moss to me.

I don't see the Rams taking one of the top RBs. They probably need a power back to complement Henderson that is well rounded (good pass blocker). The early runs on Qbs, WRs and OTs could leave a very good option in round 3. I find a big back like AJ Dillion intriguing as a nice compliment to Henderson. He has size, balance, pass-catching ability and surprising speed.

He is. But I don't see him as a plus matchup threat in that role. I suspect the Rams want someone with explosiveness if they're going to take him early on, which for us is 52 (i.e. guys like Helaire and Moss aren't going to be valuable enough for the Rams to take them where they would need to).Moss is a great pass catcher. And I agree that we aren't going to draft a HB who can't contribute in the passing game. A big part of McVay's scheme is not being able to guess what he's going to call based on his personnel and alignment.
Dillon is not good in the passing game. He doesn't have natural hands. I doubt he's the guy. I also don't agree we need a power HB. We just need an effective HB who can contribute on all three downs.

And I'm frustrated by that as I love play action with a power back but it is what it is.
I think our RBs who are effective in the running game are already on the roster in Henderson and Brown. I think both can fill the role of an every down back for us. To me Dillon brings us a downhill option that could potentially develop into a real powerhouse back. Also, he's being projected as a potential fullback as well...and with our new RB coach having a history of putting running games together with a fullback, he could give us a versatile weapon.
