I think Wang will do good work as long as he stays in the box. If Wang struggles on the outside ... his protection could slip and then he will be susceptible to being left out to hang .... Wang no want to hang high and dry in the wind

Can't wait for the season to start! Look for key contributions from Hayes, Fairley, Long, Johnson this year. Don't forget key players Smelley, Brown, Wang! Can't wait until they're out of the coaches hands and onto the grass! I guarantee you Gurley will be watching VERY closely until that tear heals!

Player Background

Was a Super Iron Hokie during off-season workouts … Turned in a 410-pound bench press and a 440-pound front squat … Topped the offensive linemen with 380-pound clean, a 370-pound push jerk, a 35-inch vertical jump and a 4.29 timing in the NFL shuttle
WOW!!

I'm outta here...I'm drained after working the Wang over for the past hour or so..Later...This has been fun, in a sort of idiotic, adolescent kind of way...Sometimes it's nice to do stupid shit to get out of the thought process that I'm far nearer the finish line than the starting line...Thanks...

Rams make roster moves
By Nate Latsch

The Rams made some roster moves on Tuesday and Wednesday, releasing a tight end to add another offensive lineman to the mix.

Gone is Mason Brodine, who has been with the Rams off and on since they acquired him on waivers from the Oakland Raiders during the 2012 season.

Brodine has played in two career regular-season games, but both of those came back in December of 2011 with the Raiders. The 6-foot-7, 284-pounder was moved from defensive line to tight end by the Rams but was never able to crack the game day active roster and see action on the field for St. Louis.

After Brodine’s release, the Rams added undrafted free agent center-guard David Wang, a 6-2, 308-pounder from Virginia Tech.

Wang was born in Reston, Virginia, but both of his parents — Robert and Nancy Wang — were members of the Chinese national track and field team before relocating to the United State. Robert was a high jumper. Nancy was a hurdler.

Wang’s brother, Ed, played offensive tackle at Virginia Tech and was a fifth-round draft pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2010 and appeared in six games as a rookie that season. Ed is the first full-blooded Chinese player in NFL history.

David Wang started 10 games at left guard for the Hokies in 2012, then started 13 games at center the following season when he garnered honorable mention All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors from the league’s coaches. He started 13 games in 2014, the first six at left guard and then the final five at center.

Now a member of the Rams’ 90-player offseason roster, Wang adds to the team’s recent overhaul of the offensive line after they selected four linemen in the draft — tackles Rob Havenstein and Andrew Donnal and guards Jamon Brown and Cody Wichmann. They also signed undrafted free agent tackle Darrell Williams.
