If they select him, that'll make it two years in a row where my late-round receiver crush goes to the Rams.

If we did select him, I would just have to tell myself, I trust McVay.
Isn't that with every pick and free agent signing though? There are some of all of them we don't like or don't understand and we try to figure them out and look for help understanding them and just hope for the best moving forward. In the end I think him and Dart go before us at 26.

With everything I’m seeing, I think this is bound to be a real head scratcher of a draft. I just have never seen a draft where everyone was so all over the place. And for almost every team as well. 1-3 seem to be ALMOST locked in but after that?

I could honestly see any position but OL, ILB and RB in the first round. Edge would also seem like little possibility so I'm thinking WR, TE, QB, CB, DT or Safety.

Yeah, I think there's gonna be some real surprises in the 1st two rounds. Guys consensus boards have at 50 going at 20 and such since supposedly the talent is so flat this year on through most of the 2nd round.

Not exactly a visit but this is interesting:

6. Keep an eye on safeties

Rams Senior Personnel Executive Ted Monago was a group leader at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis. These group leaders essentially help a group of players in a certain position group get from one place to another during the week in Indianapolis.

This could mean something or it could mean nothing, but Monago was locked in for the safeties, even keeping a close eye on Malaki Starks’ press conference. He also sat behind the safeties during the 40-yard dash and was on the field for their position drills. The Rams don’t necessarily need a safety. At the same time, it’s not a position that should be completely written off. The Rams used a lot of three safety looks last season and will likely continue to do so in 2025. When it comes to the Combine the Rams are very particular about what they do. Monago being involved with the safeties isn’t something that should go completely unnoticed.

I think Starks will be gone when they draft a player on the rise who could be a hybrid Safety/ LB is Nick Emmanwori who might be there when they draft and is a freak athlete.
I got my eye on Emmanwori at R1.26. Not because he’s a Safety but because he stands out as a physical defensive difference maker. Revel at CB same but has injury concern.

I heard Rams only meet with fringe prospects.
Not really, the Rams don't do top 30 visits (or at least a lot of them) dating back to when they didn't have 1st round picks because it was much easier for a team to see what the Rams were interested in and jump them to take a player. They meet with players during the season and at combine and senior bowl/shrine game. They also do a ton of local visits which is really beneficial.

This guy is interesting. He has LB size and elite CB athletic traits. He does give me shades of Taylor Mays however, which is scary. Its a real swing for the fences pick. He could literally play MLB on passing downs and shut down TE's, and play nickel or safety on running downs.

This guy looks like the answer to the Saquan problem. Add him and our D is elite.

If we don't get a top-class CB at 26, assuming we stay there, Emmanwori would be my first choice. He looks an elite prospect.
He's definitely an elite athlete, but, he is pretty raw. Not sure he is a great pick for a team competing for SB this season. Sky high ceiling though.
