I wonder how true the reports are on LaPorta's medical. What a bummer that is if true. But as much as I like Kincaid and Mayer it's not like their film is 10x better than that of LaPorta. I think while not being as big as them he's in their class in the pass game or so close that it's splitting hairs in ranking them.
But it does feel like Edge and Corner need to be prioritized. Pisses me off in some ways because I really want one of these TEs. But we do have 3x picks in rounds 2 and 3. So it is possible we get one of these guys.
Washington is one of the guys I prefer we steer clear of because I simply do not like guys who lack production. I don't care how good your measurables are, if you can't produce in college why would I think you'd produce in the NFL. But if he's the guy he is a bit of a lottery ticket in that his upside is enormous so maybe we hit on him.
Musgrave sort of rubs me the wrong way on his film. Just feels like he goes down at first contact. He's a catch & flop type, in a day and age where you want guys with RAC. Rams and this offense if you're not getting a guy who can threaten underneath then just pick a damn Edge or Corner and then go get one of the project types later. But if the Rams like him I'll get behind him. He is a nice big athlete just prefer Kraft to him by some margin and both are estimated in the same range, actually Musgrave I've seen ranked above Kraft mostly. Re: Musgrave when I watch his film he's not really all that much better than Whyle, who is a big/smooth athlete who will go off the board much later.
Also I've talked shite about Kuntz because he's another workout warrior without the big production but it's not like I wouldn't welcome him later in the draft. But I'd also welcome
Strange, who is a smaller LaPorta type.
So honestly all I care about is come out of this draft with one of these TEs.
