Yep. Ewers looks like a poor man's Goff.
Yeah, I have thought that myself. I am just thinking if they wait until 90 to pick a QB, the guys we all like will be gone. So if they want a young QB with NFL arm talent, he will be the guy who is left. Now I did read he did play hurt this year...a torn oblique, and gutted through it.

And his team did reach the Title game and gave Ohio St a tough game, so it's not like he shit the bed. He just lost to a team that dominated everyone.

Not saying I want him, but I could see the Rams taking him as a potential better version of Purdy...and yes Goff-like, which isn't all that bad. Not getting a Stafford clone unless you are picking #1 in a great QB draft.

Yeah Ewers could certainly end up hitting, this stuff is a dice roll. But dudes who look scared in the pocket bug the shit out of me.

IMHO, the Rams 1st pick should be either of the best CB or TE available. Then go all in for QB next year, this year is Superbowl or bust!

I’d throw receiver in there too.

TE and WR may have the biggest talent drop for the Rams if a starter gets injured. If Higbee, Nacua, or Adams goes down production will nosedive.

Plus, DRob, Kupp, and Johnson left in Free agency. 3&4 are Tutu and Whittington. They need more depth behind them and it should at least be one WR with starter potential.

The defense was pretty good at the end of last season aside from shoring up the run defense, which they did in free agency. The offense struggled against man coverage late. They need two more pass catchers that can beat man coverage. That’s likely a TE and WR.

Watched him enough to realize he will be a heartbreaker, plus he has less mobility then Stafford.

You definitely value mobility higher than I do. And I do prefer it in a QB all things being equal. Meaning the QB has to be able to win from the pocket first and foremost. So even if Ewers was some great threat running the ball I still would not like him because he has jittery pocket presence. That's a disqualifying element for a QB in my book.

Goes back to Martz for me and him saying the QB must be the biggest competitor on the field. How right he was. Standing up in the pocket and not fleeing as your instincts tell you to requires courage which is not something you can teach a dude. Some have it and some do not. The ones who do not can fake it during the regular season, but at some point in that playoff sched who they are costs them.

And this is why Dart is going to be a star. Btw. :)(y)

Notre Dame pro day today
Guys I'm a big fan of, aka my "homer report"

Xavier Watts S- dude is a baller, might go 1st round
Benjamin Morrison CB- if not for a hip injury would have been a sure 1st rounder, interested to see if he runs a 40
Mitchell Evans TE- truly believe he could be a steal from this draft. Was on his was to stardom in '23 until he wrecked his knee in a senseless blowout. Having a noodle arm Tim Tebow wannabe at QB didnt help him this year
Jack Kiser LB- Could be our Zack Baun, kid just loves ball
Rylie Mills DT- Just love the player, not sure how he'd fit with Rams

I am not looking for anyone like Hurts, Jackson or even Allen. Looking for a QB that occasionally can run the RPO and is actually threat to run and if the play breaks down on 3rd & 8, can get me 9 yards.

I really don't know how I feel about Dart. I would like him a tad taller, but dare I communicate it, he does have moxie and does have that little bit extra with the ability to extend plays. As you know I am a connect a dot guy and with Snead's comments about having a QB that would offer that dimension, methinks the next guy will.
