Lol. Dude, it wasn't intended to cause a stir, or be dramatic. But as someone who has watched every game for the last 15 years, I've noticed a trend with McVay, particularly this year, where he's calling WR screens on 3rd and long plays. Last year, we'd take a deep shot, and have a good chance of converting. The comment was simply illustrating this. Whether you believe the above or not is entirely up to you, it's simply my observation that I felt was a sentiment a lot of people shared.
 
This game has a weird feel to it even though the Rams have a shutout going. Maybe I'll feel better with 7 more points.
 
TD TODD!!!! I don't wanna jinx it but this is the closest thing we've seen to offensive production we're used to seeing from these last two years.

Wow - offense is looking impressive. Goff looks GREAT on the move. Seems maybe McVay should get him on the move a bit more.

And Higbee is a terminator. He needs to be a huge part of the gameplan moving forward.

Goff has made some excellent throws outside the pocket. Glad he's diversifying his skill set beyond throwing in the pocket

Maybe the whole time the plan was to unleash him for a final push around this time. Or maybe it's just a "what the hell anymore" attitude.
