He had 3 penalties last year.
Davis Allen was the only TE to play in every snap of 13... we still have him and he's absolutely not going anywhere.
This isn't actually a great stat compared to his playing time.
Might wanna stick the most dominate receiver in the NFL at the goal line last year (Adams) on that goal line set.

There was an analytical post the other day stating that Allen played 100% of the snaps when they were in 13. He's an important piece.
That is a good comp though I cannot see him achieving that kind of productivity with all our weapons
I understand it's his contract year so it's now or never for Allen.
Klare was a decent TE at Ohio St and improved as a blocker overall but his tape at Purdue was electric. It's the difference between being the showcased in an offense and an afterthought.
I think they'll settle into different roles down the road. Ferg will be the inline TE on most snaps, Klare will battle for slot snaps. How many Klare gets comes down to who McVay thinks are the top 3 weapons given what he wants to do. But I imagine it won't take long for Klare to get on the field because he'll probably be more of a threat than the others in the slot rather quickly.
