It's not about what I want in regards to this conversation. Its going to be painful to hear the talk and 2nd guessing if the Rams fall short of the Superbowl again and could have used a player (any player) that balled out that was picked after Simpson. Not what I want to happen but it is a very distinct possibility as Superbowls are extremely hard to come by.
To me, worrying about painful talk should they fail is ridiculous. As if it wouldn't be painful if they took Lemon and he fucked up our chances. Or Bain. Or any other player. Fuck the 'told ya so' bullshit bound to be plentiful if they don't win the Lombardi!!! Rather than worrying about bullshit like that, think about the possibility Simpson keeps McVay around much longer by playing like a stud when #9 hangs it up.

There is a lot of if you don't agree with me you must be wrong in this thread....:dizzy:
Tell me about it. I'm literally talking about possibilities, not even saying this is what'll happen and it comes back to, who would you pick at 13 then cuz I'm wrong lmao.....um pick 13 is in and done. I'm talking about what'll happen if the Rams fall short again. Winning it all isn't ever guaranteed and the Rams will most definitely be questioned if they fall short again over that 1st round pick. Even said it isn't fair to Simpson's long term projection, but still get a Simpson lover mad.

Less than manly stance IMO if he cant give a name of WHO he would want Drafted.

So you would be equally angered if the pick was Freeling or Iaone, right? I mean, those guys would have sat this year for the most part.

I'm not worrying about it, I'm just saying that's what will happen. Simpson is already a polarizing pick. Don't understand why discussing things realistically drives folks up a wall. I'm literally discussing it is all.

So I think this is what some people on here are talking about, it's okay to not like the Simpson pick or like it without all this hyperbole.

I'm not even talking about me being angered at all. I'm simply discussing stuff that could happen and it seems to be getting to you for whatever reason. I'll be upset period if the Rams don't win it all. If they don't, I really can't predict why that would happen, but there are others out there that will use it to bash that 1st pick. Not fair but reality.

Is anyone else kinda okay with the pick of Simpson cause we didn't mortgage any future picks so if he doesn't work out we can just go back to hunting for a QB and mortgaging our future for one?

Let's say Stafford gives us two years. In two years time we'll at least know if the kid is functional. If he's not we just go hunting for a QB. If he seems it, we try him out for a 1-3 seasons but does anyone really believe that a team like this wouldn't take another QB if they got a chance and felt the guy was superior to Simpson?

Isn't that what we did with Goff?

I weirdly have faith in this front office that they will be willing to move off the kid if a superior opportunity presents itself.

Makes me more okay with the pick.

What does that have to do with what I just said?

Just take your time, give it some thought and if you don't like the argument the other person is making, make a cogent one yourself.

It's not hard. Or it is.
And its okay to DISLIKE the Simpson pick if you give the alternative.

Completely agree. As ive stated in earlier posts, this is no way takes us out of a Franchise Veteran (Burrow etc) or Drafting a new guy at a later date if we see fit.

You're really lost in this conversation. Its not about that. Maybe re-read and get back to me. Guess I insulted your savior by talking about possibilities.

MY savior? Or Les and Sean's savior?

Some, not all,, will be HOPING he fails. They should prepare to be heavily disappointed.

I challenge those to POST their pick at 13 over Simpson.
I guess I am just naive. I don't think any one on that has been posting on this board recently will be rooting against the success of any player on this team. When Reeder is playing nobody wants him to fail. They just want somebody better on the field. With Simpson, even those of us who didn't like the pick will be rooting hard that he is great. the only way we could be disappointed is if he fails.
