Holy shit an admin showed up!Ok. Everyone get off the political train. Another post leaning political will likely find you banned from this thread. Carry it to another thread and you might find yourself unable to post in any of them. Clear enough?
You mean over a week ago?Holy shit an admin showed up!
And for Being taller than Pat Haden...I heard that too. IMO you can wow people being consistent and winning games.
ShrugAnybody want to be brought back down to earth, listen to Simms talk about Simpson. Not that he's right or wrong but I wonder where he came down on the pick when it happened. That certainly may color his commentary. He said, "Simpson didn't give me any WOW moments whereas Mendoza and Allar both did".
.
Are there any people left that still think Lemon (what a fitting name) can help the Rams right now to win the superbowl?

Well then, you should expect a pretty harsh up-coming response from him ...He's a trol......errr...ummm...lurker.
Everybody is anxious for the regular season to start, even the talking heads!!!Also, this over analyzation of every single thing that moves in week one of the preseason is vomit inducing.

I look at his performance as a positive step. Nothing more nothing less. I wouldn't have been crushed if he had struggled badly, concerned, but not crushed by it.These guys are right, in that Chase Daniel went too far by saying "and it wasnt particularly close." Why people need to ruin a good thought that is accurate with over the top hyperbole added at the end I will never understand. That last extra-added, unneeded comment refutes the credibility of the previous correct statement. Just say "Ty Simpson had the best first weekend of the rookie Quarterbacks." And leave it at that. It might be right, it might be arguable. When you grossly exaggerate falsely at the end, the original statement is then in question. People just go too far.

My apologies.I went back and watched all 25 of his passes (he had one that was a no play because of D holding). He made 4 really good throws. He rolled out more than half the time. Most of his passes in the 4th quarter were straight drops. He showed patience. He showed he can go through his progressions. He showed good touch and accuracy. WTF do we expect from a rookie in his first action, even if it was preseason?
QBs can play almost an entire career and we still won't know exactly who they are. What's the point in making a judgment based on a single preseason game?Everybody is anxious for the regular season to start, even the talking heads!!!
Nobody said anything about "pounding their chest". Fans? Who gives a fuck if fans pound their chest? A franchise or a GM or a HC? There is definitely a need to prove you were right about a draft take if it's a first round pick. Particularly a first round QB. Absolutely. Because that's job security. Of course nobody is right about draft choices all the time. But it's important to be right half the time. And if you're going to draft a QB in the first round, when everybody and their mother is saying, "they should have taken somebody who is going to help them THIS YEAR", it's important to be right. It's also important for a multitude of reasons beyond what people say. So yeah, it's extremely important for the Rams to be right about Simpson. And it's not to pound their chest. Fans or front office. A slow head nod will do.What's up with the need to prove you were right about a draft take and pounding your chest?
