Raiders -now- Rams Sign Dakota Allen

Dakota Allen played a total of 20 snaps on special teams in two games for the Raiders. Zero snaps on defense as a linebacker. Meh.
 
We do have a spot open now. Not sure they go for him though after trading for Young.

I like Webster better than Hodge....Much faster and with Cooks in limbo, Rams need speed.

With Kenny Young, Allen might not be brought back, although if they IR Cooks and activate Webster, they will have two sports available on the practice squad.

I like them both, ... Webster behind Cooks & Hodge competing with Reynolds. Even if Reynolds isn't traded next season, he'll be entering his contract year. Thomas is a free agent following this season and is likely gone. jmo.

Curious... did Allen get any field time with the Raiduhs?
 
I think he is one of them players where given a shot to play he will produce. It's seeing him get there which seems to be the issue...

We may have lost a little depth but at least Dakota gets a good shot that's some real playing time.
 
Any word yet on whether Dakota cleared waivers ?

Looked at rotoworld and a few other sites and they have no news about him signing. I know we have a PS spot available but not sure what they have in mind for it.

Apparently he cleared waivers, but no specific news beyond that.

The Rams didn't dump him, he was stolen off waivers. I'm pretty sure he would have been named to our practice squad had he cleared. It doesn't appear that anyone picked him up off of these new waivers, so he can sign as a free agent anywhere. Hopefully the Rams bring him back, even if it's just to our practice squad again.
