Saw his presser yesterday and a question was asked about the OLB position opposite of Leonard Floyd. I know T Lewis has been battling his knee injury still, but for Morris to not even mention his name when talking about the OLB position?? Does that raise major concern for anyone else?

I mean, Lewis wasn't available for OTAs right? And yesterday was the first day he practiced? So as far as Morris is concerned he doesn't really exist yet. Hopefully Lewis can make a name for himself quickly.

Does it really matter???
I think it absolutely matters. He didn't even come to mind when Morris was answering the question. He's the highest drafted OLB we've made in a while and he's not even being mentioned when discussing pass rushers from OLB?? I thought some around here said he's looked pretty good in camp but I guess not.

You worry way too much man lol. Lot of stuff happens in practice.

I get a feeling that Lewis is gonna be your new punching bag this season.

The Rams took a shot and it may not work out. Stuff happens.

If he can be a situational rusher for them it will be a late 3rd round pick well spent.

Honestly I've pretty much written him off as a draft miss, but I understand them taking a shot on the guy. Bottom line though is he doesn't strike me as their usual pick. You know, the guy who is smart and loves the game. Lewis is more a Fisher type pick. I suspect he's a Snead "we gotta take a shot on this value right here" guy.

And I get it so I'm not pissed or anything. If he does show up this year and help us I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Cant wait for the regular season to start so we can focus on what is happening on the field vs the off-season analysis paralysis. My recommendation is to Accentuate the positive.
I still think you get a good idea of competition. When a player has not played though it’s hard to judge.Years past I drank so much Kool-aide it’s hard to think your drinking the real juice.

I thought yesterday he was given a day off ?

I listened to the 11-Personnel today and Jourdan Rodrigue commented he’s looked real good. Healthy.
That’s right. I missed quoted again.I saw him in the Pen,but Mcvay gave him the first day in lads off.
The Rams are taking there time with him,to make sure he is 100%.

will see if The Rams want to risk him in the preseason? I think of him as a baby Hueie. Real big for his skill set.The knee right now limits him.

I think he is a perfect OLB as more of a spy (pass rusher) against the speed QB’s in the NFC West.

Raheem was not on the coaching staff when they drafted Terrell Lewis.

If Lewis' is not knocking our new DC's socks off, why mention him.

It's not like the 2nd year pro is a stealth bomber that he's hiding from civilians.

If Lewis doesn't splash and stay healthy, why should R. Morris sugarcoat him?

I hope Morris tells McVay to cut him if he truly believes he's not one of the best 53 when the final cuts are decided. .

Yea in a few of the camp reports around here people said he was looking pretty good. So IDK just found it odd that Morris would mention Lawler, and John Daka before thinking of T Lewis. I get Obo and Hollins who are ahead on the depth chart. But Lawler and Daka? Idk just found it weird his name wasn't even said. It's not like Lewis was a 1st rounder or anything, but still a 3rd round pick with his talent I hope develops into a good player for us in year 2.

In most cases arguments from silence are too speculative for my blood.

But in this case I do think it shows that Lewis is a guy coaches don't plan on counting on.

It's like Barret Jones. You draft the guy due to what he could be if the injury magically gets better. He's a flyer. You don't count on him.

If Lewis was viewed as a reliable starter and over the knee issues then he wouldn't slip the mind.

Morris has been around long enough to have seen many players like Lewis and know that USUALLY guys who come into the league banged up, stay banged up. They don’t often have long or full careers.

It doesn’t make sense to discourage guys out there playing their butts off, trying to make the team, by mentioning a player who isn’t even out there competing.

Should Lewis make it to the party, it would be a welcome bonus because he’s very talented; however, designing a defense relying on Lewis would be extremely foolish—Morris knows this.

You need to get real!!!

When you see VTR’s photo, you see T.Lewis on the right edge(OLB). It doesn’t take a genius to see his skill set.
HOLLY F” if you see that guy coming off the edge as a QB,he’s scare the heck out of you.

In the photo you see him working against Andrew Whitworth who was in Pads for the first time as well.BOTH PLAYERS were coming off rest day.

at a high level as a rookie, who was raw & played hurt.He also had different injuries. Yes his knee is a concern.
