Doubtful, the market is the market. He's gonna get paid.
Totally. Don't get me wrong. I meant something more along the lines of 179 million instead of 183 million, LOL. But more likely Behavior clauses. Puka deserves to be highest paid WR.

Other than a civil suit, which looks more like a shady shake down, there's really nothing holding his agent back from requesting market value minus the "behavior clauses" since he went to rehab on his own accord to show he's being responsible.

If Jimmy G Is Gone

Verse 1

There’s a quiet in the locker room down in L.A. tonight
Playbook on the table, but something don’t feel right
Rumors blowing westward like a Santa Ana wind
Don’t know if he’s staying, don’t know where he’s been

Pre-Chorus
The front office phones keep ringing all night long
And the fans keep asking what’s going on

Chorus
If Jimmy G is gone, who’s gonna take that snap?
Who’s gonna lead the huddle when the pocket starts to crack?
Under those bright lights at SoFi’s golden dawn
It won’t feel the same if Jimmy G is gone

Verse 2
He wasn’t always perfect, but he kept the fire alive
Fourth quarter pressure, man he knew how to survive
Helmet on the sideline, number ten in gold
Some stories in this game never get old

Pre-Chorus
But contracts and seasons roll on like a train
And sometimes the heart of a team can’t remain

Chorus
If Jimmy G is gone, who’s gonna take that snap?
Who’s gonna calm the storm when the defense traps?
Every Sunday crowd singing one old song
Wondering what we’ll do if Jimmy G is gone

Bridge
Maybe he’ll find a highway to another town
Another jersey, another crowd
But out here in Ram blue and gold
We’ll remember the grit he showed

Final Chorus
If Jimmy G is gone, we’ll still light the flame
Still cheer for the horns and the Rams’ good name
But somewhere in the echoes of that stadium song
There’ll be a little space if Jimmy G is gone

Outro
Yeah the season keeps rolling, life moves along…
But it’s hard saying goodbye
If Jimmy G is gone.

Look, fellas. It’s the offseason. We need some entertainment.

If your collab. Effort “If Jimmy G is Gone” went platinum, surely “Puka in Rehab.” Is bound for even greater heights. I mean, this is just screaming out to be a country song.

Mix in some Chevy references, “a bottle of Jack” and perhaps some girl that got away, and I’m sure we’ve got another hit, here.

Thanks for your efforts ahead of time, fellas. I’ll sit back and wait for the release. :)

Your post was not preachy. Not what I was referring to at all.

I was alluding to all the "he needs to get his life together" busybodies.

According to fucking who? Pick the stones up and worry about your own shit before telling others how to live their lives..
I get your point, VegasRam, and I might even be one you are referring to “standing in judgement” of Puka.

We are all fuck-ups. One way or the other. I’ve got a pretty good-sized plank in my eye, so my words were not judgement of Puka. But just like if he were my son, it would be pretty foolish NOT to be a bit worried he’s gonna screw things up, just based on what we know.

So no, saying “he needs to get his life together” I don’t think is an overreach. And by the way, I don’t believe most of the crap they are even saying about him.

My whole point is that with his talent and notoriety, I don’t want him setting himself up to be taken advantage of by one of the 10,000 schemers out there. Protect yourself a little more please, Puka. I care, about you, buddy.

That’s all. I think that’s reasonable.

“Puka’s in Rehab”

Verse 1
Friday night lights and the crowd went wild,
Kid from the islands with a million-dollar smile,
Catchin’ every pass, makin’ every headline,
Livin’ too fast on a little too much high life.

He had the whole town singin’ his name,
But somewhere in the shadows he was losin’ the game,
When the cheers died down and the room went black,
There wasn’t no easy road to get him back.

Chorus
Puka’s in rehab, somewhere by the sea,
Tryin’ to find the man he used to be,
Trade the neon whiskey for the morning sun,
Learnin’ that you can’t outrun what you become.
The whole world’s watchin’, but he’s finally lookin’ in,
Fightin’ for tomorrow instead of yesterday’s sins,
Yeah, the Rams can wait, let the healing do its job,
Tonight Puka’s in rehab.

Verse 2
Mama’s by the phone and she says a prayer,
Coach says, “Son, we’ll save your locker right there,”
Teammates send a text sayin’, “Take your time,”
Ain’t no shame in walkin’ back across that line.

There’s a Bible on the table and a window cracked,
Ocean breeze blowin’ where the hurt pushed back,
Every day’s a yard and every mile’s hard,
But he’s finally runnin’ with his heart.

Bridge
And someday when September rolls around,
He might walk back out onto that ground,
Not as the hero everybody knew,
But a stronger man who finally made it through.

Final Chorus
Puka’s outta rehab, standin’ in the light,
Still got scars, but he’s winnin’ back the fight,
And the crowd will cheer louder than they ever have,
For the boy who came home from rehab.
