I’ve kind of come around to this as well. Just more of a wild card with Perkins, which, since both would be more or less a disaster if needed for any stretch, at least adds a little unknown.I like Perkins limitations and potential more than Wolfords.
Both lack the arm strength to run our offense like Stafford in the event that they have to start some games.
If either were used, the game plan would change to capitalize on their skills.
Neither have all the tools you hope to see but Perkins steady growth and faster processing and release this season is noticeable while Wolford feels like he is what he is...
JW will keep his #2 gig and Perkins will get plucked off waivers... but I would rather hold onto the latter if I'm being honest.
BUT.
I guess anything is possible, but people really need to stop worrying about “losing” either of them. neither is a starting caliber player and both are fringe backup caliber players. What the rams need is a Flacco type, if you ask me (fair enough, nobody did). Hopefully next year. Maybe Garrapollo when he finally realizes his starting days are over.
