Rebuilding and .500 season?

Based on what? We dropped players who were under performing with us and are looking for guys we hope will excel with us. Todd Gurley hasn't been Gurley for a year and a half??
Fowler had 11.5 sacks. Matthews 8. Littleton was big on turnovers and in the pass game. Even Brockers helped in the run game. we lost three starters plus our NicKyle. We do not have cap space to get tried vets. We do not have a first rounder. We will need to hope OBO, Ebukem, Floyd, Day and Long all step up and who knows who can step in for Littleton. Hope our new Dc is a genius

Next move is the draft, moving down from 52 to pick up an additional choice.

Cooks has gotta be the next domino to fall. Unlike Gurley, he definitely has value on the open market and I would expect a trade. Hopefully we can recoup a first(Raiders?) but that's probably wishful thinking.
Cooks just triggered a big roster bonus, so I don’t think he’s going anywhere, certainly won’t get cut.

Has to be re-signing Ramsey. If they don't re-sign him by this time next year, I'm going to be extremely pissed.

Because we had Cooks, Gurley, AD Goff and Donald we could not sign Fowler, Littleton and Brockers.

Brockers? I didn't think he warranted an extension. Fowler was a possible extension and Littleton was way out of our pay scale. Losing Gurley doesn't impact our running game because he didn't impact our running game when he was here.

I am not a fan of losing Gurley for sentimental reasons, but he was CLEARLY not worth his contract. I can only assume that they cut him now to save for later.

Just In, Rams just gave up a AD and SoFi for the Murph ( QUALCOMM stadium )

Melvin Gordon for sure. This offense requires an RB1 level back capable or power and receiving, and Gordon is a perfect fit. 1 yr prove it deal, $5M.

I'd much rather have Freeman. Freeman's a cap casualty, has experience blocking and receiving, and we could still draft a running back after him.

Gordon would be my choice he probably would love to stay in LA however that kills another comp pick or no? If he signs that low like 5-7 million does that cut into one of the two 3rd rounders?

I'm not so sure Freeman is done either he is oft injured but can catch and run still split with Henderson mentor and was cut so no comp pick. Might be a good fit.

Yeah, it would cut into what could possibly be two high picks. That's why I want Freeman over Gordon. But honestly? I'd draft a running back before either one of them.
